The dA Marketplace Contest

To continue pushing the idea floating around for a deviantARTist's marketplace, what better way to celebrate and promote than a contest? For those of you who don't know what this is about, there was a proposal backed by a few hundred deviantART members who wanted to be able to have a platform to sell their work (crafts, originals, signed prints, comics, books, etc) much like they would on Ebay or Etsy but here on deviantART instead of redirecting elsewhere. So what's this about a contest?

This is a unique contest with unique rules! In addition to promoting the idea of a deviantARTist's Marketplace, this will be a contest where you can show off your goods! Each piece entered in the contest is one more way of showing that this is something you want, and each piece is an opportunity to show people that you have pieces that you really want to sell. Here are the rules!

Your entry must be NEW. Dated on or after March 2nd!
Your entry MUST be something that could be purchased!
(Original paintings, crafts, signed prints, books, comic books etc.)
You can submit TWO entries!

Important: Your deviation description must include the following:
- This entry is for the deviantARTist's Marketplace
- A link to the poll: [link]
- How much your piece would cost if it were for sale ( and if it IS for sale, all the better!)
- WHAT it is you are selling (Example: If it is a digital art piece, then you are selling something like a signed print)
- Please NO copyrighted material!

Prizes & Judges:

Prizes:
There will be 7 prizes given out for a 1st - 7th place judging. Each judge will assign points to their favorite pieces and then they will be tallied up and the winners announced. The prizes are undisclosed at this time because in addition to deviantWEAR, prints and subscriptions as the main prizes, it would be really nice to offer prizes that would help out the artist (such as books or art supplies.)
