Comments or Cruelty?

I know some may see this as an issue only for BBW models, but really think about it, how many of you have gotten comments that were not helpful in any way, just hurtful, rude and cruel.
I know we can not regulate manners but I think the difference between critiquing someones work and insulting them personally needs to be addressed

Google Chrome EULA warning

=MrThunderfield:iconMrThunderfield: reports, September 3
You might have heard about Googles new web browser Chrome. But people who really read the EULA found out something rather disturbing: Google gets the rights to everything you create or publish with Chrome. So before we get further info about this, I wouldn't recommend submitting deviations with Chrome.

:bulletred:[link] Europe wins US military contract.

Northrop Grumman/EADS wins new tanker contract.

As some of you know, the US Air Force has been looking to replace its aging KC-135 air tanker fleet. These are aircraft whose job it is to be a flying gas station, filled with fuel that can be transfered to other aircraft. They refuel fighters, bombers, and the like while in flight, to extend their range. The KC-135 is based on the old Boeing 707 airliner, and is a 50 year old design.

The contract to replace them has been filled with controversy for years. Several years back, the Department of Defense and Boeing got in a lot of hot water over a proposal to \"lease\" Boeing 767s to the Air Force for use as the new tanker. This would have been a very expensive program, and didn\'t make a lot of sense. It turned out that one or more of the key people involved in pushing and accepting the program at the Department of Defense were recent Boeing employees. There was hell to pay for that one.

:bulletred:[link] Do you support Japanese whaling?

sally65356 1 day 23 hours ago
As an Australian person, I simply don\'t support Japan, or any other countries, whaling under the guise of \'scientific whaling\'. But, I want to know how you guys think out this issue! I love Japan, but I don\'t love whaling!

All comments welcome.

:bulletred:[link] Prince Harry in Afghanistan

=tabzthefish 2 days 4 hours ago
So it has been revealed that prince harry, 3rd in line to the throne, has been serving in Afghanistan for the past 10 weeks.

There are several issues the main being whether he is a danger to the troops he is serving with. This was probably one reason why British Media agreed not to release the story.

Personally I feel that he has a right to defend this country if he wants and that should be the end of the matter.

Foreign media (many suggesting American though I have not seen evidence of this)were responsible for making this public. Whomever it was has undermined the security of the British Armed Forces and I think should be ashamed of their actions.

:bulletred:[link] Ahmadinejad makes landmark visit to Iraq

By QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA, Associated Press Writer
42 minutes ago

BAGHDAD - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived Sunday in Baghdad for the first-ever visit by an Iranian president to Iraq, walking a red carpet past Iraqi troops to meet the president of a once-bitter enemy nation that's now under growing Iranian influence.

Iraqi President Jalal Talabani greeted Ahmadinejad at his car and the two kissed four times on the cheeks in the traditional fashion. A military honor guard saluted the two and a band played the two countries' national anthems as they walked slowly down the red carpet at Talabani's headquarters.

:bulletred:[link] 8 dead in clashes in Armenia

By AVET DEMOURIAN, Associated Press Writer
1 hour, 49 minutes ago

YEREVAN, Armenia - Eight people died in clashes between police and opposition supporters that led the president to declare a sweeping, 20-day state of emergency, officials said Sunday.

Police fired in the air and let off tear gas to break up Saturday's gathering of some 15,000 protestors upset over alleged fraud in the Feb. 19 presidential election. On Sunday, troops and armored vehicles patrolled the main streets of Armenia's capital.

It was some of the worst political violence to hit post-Soviet Armenia, and it led the opposition leader to also appeal for calm.

:bulletred: [link] Saudi Arabia advises citizens to leave Lebanon over unrest

Sat Mar 1, 4:25 PM ET

BEIRUT (AFP) - Saudi Arabia has advised its citizens in Lebanon to leave the country due to growing political unrest, a Lebanese government source said Saturday.

"The Lebanese government has been informed of the measure taken by the Saudi Arabian embassy which has asked its citizens to exercise caution in their movements and to leave the country if possible," he said on condition of anonymity.

A Saudi diplomatic source, contacted by AFP, confirmed the measure and said a number of Saudi families had already left.

He also disclosed that the car of a Saudi diplomat travelling with his family was hit by a bullet on Friday night in Beirut, without anyone being injured.

:bulletred:[link] Australia to propose closing 'scientific' whaling loophole

"Australia is full bore in our opposition to the killing of whales in the name of science," Garrett told reporters.

Under current rules introduced in 1986, commercial whaling is banned but the giant mammals can be killed for scientific research purposes.

Japan kills up to 1,000 whales annually under its scientific programme, although it concedes most of the meat ends up on dinner plates.

Japanese are simply bloodthirsty when it comes to whaling. I'd like to see their "findings".

I'm Aussie, by the way.
