Basically be as creative as possible with a photo of the person/place/thing that could keep you happy for all eternity, if that opportunity every arose! Remember: Creativity is KEY!
The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
We want to know what love means to you!
Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".

DaVinci, Picasso, Monet... these are all names I'm sure you've heard of before. They are the Masters of the art world and their talents are world renowned. But have you ever looked at their pieces and thought to yourself "I could do better" or "that would look awesome in a comic style"? Well here's your chance. How would you have painted DaVinci's Mona Lisa? Show me using only Vectors.
1st place - $30 paypal or 1 year DA sub or other $30 gift certificate 2nd place - $10 paypal or 3 month DA sub or other $10 gift certificate 3rd place - 1 month DA sub
and at least 3 participants (excluding the winners) who will be randomly selected to win a 1 month DA sub.
[I thought that I'd finally advertise a contest somewhere other than my dA page]
The contest is simple! I like the weird/obscure characters from the Zelda series; Especially the mask salesman, the postman, and Mr. Guru-Guru. SO! If you make a deviation featuring any/all of them [and be sure to let me know about it!], you'll have a chance to win some nice Zelda gachapon prizes! ...Or a subscription, if your deviation is AWESOME but you're unable to send any mailing info. [Totally understandable!]
Good luck XD
[[unsure of an ending date to put here]] [[[Let's just make it first-come, first-serve for now XD... But don't rush! Put effort into it X3]]]
Okay, why not officially end it on my birthday? XD April 14th. Of course, I'm auto-prizing art that totally BLOWS MY MIND. But it takes a lot to do that for me X3;; I have a feeling most people that enter will get a prize, anyway. The figures are going fast, but I still have plenty of cards, touch pens, and sound drops left. Heck, if people were interested enough, I'd make the grand prize a new copy of Phantom Hourglass [I have three copies; One Japanese, one NA release, and another NA release that came with the Triforce DS. The third copy obviously hasn't been played or even tampered with] BUT... Almost EVERYONE who WOULD be interested in a prize like that already have the game 8D;;
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

I'm actually thinking of using a bit of the premise for my first idea in a 3-4 part comic.
