Well, welcome to another edition of Mini-DDs, the lovely little set of features where creativity oozes from every corner & anything can happen!!
...Aaand on that note I have nothing to say here in the intro. Again. So...Er...
Well, I guess I can say that I still hate FairExposure due to it being against everything that I believe in here (See Vol. 69:
[link]), & that in order to actually make everything fair, the old system should come back & co-exist with FairExposure so that everyone wins.
But apparently no one for FairExposure wants to talk about the idea of two systems. And so I'm forced to protest it here very week until something is actually done. And don't think I'll just casually forget about the whole thing. Oh no. I can't ignore the lies. And someone
will pay.
...Um, okay...So sorry there, but that's what happens when I run out of material: I go crazy (one could argue that I'm always crazy, but whatever). But with that out of my system for this week, what say we just get on with the main event already?
Okay, so if you don't know by now, the featured artists here each receive the Golden Fefcaine Award:

...My little prestigious token of appreciation for anyone who created some amazing, DD-worthy artwork. Plus it has a delicious milk chocolate center! And just in time for March, we throw some mint, cookie bits, & maybe even a little bit of green food coloring into the mixture!
Alright now, on with the show! Here's this week's Mini-DDs...

Ah, *
Mishuku, you & your crazed signature character always know how to create some truly stunning & whacked-out stuff. Like with
...Mastermind..., where wild, vivid colors, a cool style, a nice amount of action & detail, & a love of industrial dance music all get poured in together to make one trippy & lovable drawing. And of course, bonus points for the pose. And the giant mallet.
.:By The Fountain:. by *
Shanella...Cripes, can it actually get any more majestic than this? Between the romantic mood, the straight-out-of-a-dream characters, the sweet setting (gotta love that night sky), & the amazing style, the only way something like this could me more perfect is if Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" was playing in the background. Truly one to fave indeed.
Give me Strauss Jr. by =
ekaF. Now, I don't really know what this the heck this is supposed to represent (if anything)...All I know is that I can't stop staring at it & thinking how cool it is. Aside from the twisted & unique concept, the wicked details like the skull face & Napoleon portrait, & even the pose & lighting all just seem to grab your attention at once, making for one truly memorable piece of work.

Now, I'm not exactly sure how amazing a snowboard design like
Burton Jing-Jang by ~
plusone would look whizzing right past you through fresh snow, but I can honestly say that it does make for one stunning piece of artwork. Between the mix of the cool little 3D characters & funky little drawings, the wild & cool color scheme, & even the nice layout & great amount of detail, what's not to love about this?

The Samurai Duelers League has certainly given us a looksee at a variety of amazing characters, be they remixes of old favorites or cool new designs.

monkey0toe0man is a perfect example of the latter. Great design, great story, great style, great use of the voodoo angle...So as you may have guessed, it's great all-around, & definitely shouldn't be missed out on.
- Hug Me - by =
Venator-Somniorum is one cool drawing of a wicked creature design that manages to be both twisted & beautiful at the same time, thanks to the artist's amazing style & the amount of love & attention she really poured into this. Everything from the pose to the fur to the color scheme simply oozes talent & creativity, making for one awesome character & an equally awesome ID.

...You know, sometimes you just come across a Deviation showcasing a concept that's so truly unique & humorous that you can't help but love it. And such is the case with
north american safari by =
rat-a-tat-tat, which some beloved folklore/urban legends (& their fates) with such a cool, unique, & lovely semi-cartoonish style that it's impossible not to love it.

=
tonypapesh has quite the unique style & some very cool concepts, which lead to sweet little pieces of work like
Too much money. The lineart, the colors, the pose, the way it kind of flows, the amount of detail put into it...It's all just really amazing, & the end result is a nice little cartoon commentary on greed that is definitely not to be missed out on.
Paranoid Android by ~
JulietteYork...Well, the fact that this is an ode to one of the greatest rock songs ever made was probably enough to earn this little beauty the attention it justly deserves. But just in case, let's not forget the sweet style, the great color schemes, the lovely little cartoonish feeling, etc., etc. But hey, all you really need to know is that this is one truly stunning piece of vector art, right?
...& that's all for this week! If you have any comments, suggestions, etc., they'd be greatly appreciated! I hope you've all liked what I've featured this week, & I'll be back next week with nine more DD-worthy works of art! Sayanora until then! ^_^

With watching eyes
You see dreams dissolving
Distant voices slipping away
I have to go - I hear
The call of something deeper
A voice inside of me
