Day of Silence Contest
April 25 2008 is National/International Day of Silence. It is a day that supports Gays, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transsexuals/trans gender people. For years they had to be silent, unable to let anyone know who they really were. They would be hurt by other people if that escape because of down it was by society. Even in todays world it isn't treated right, people are still being hurt because of they are. So DOS is a way for people who support these people to come out and make a statement saying I support them so why don't you?

This day affects me very much, when I see the support that we got last year, I'm bisexual, and I know of the things that happen, I have been hate for who I was. This is why the day is so important, and it's why I'm holding another contest.
Here's what I want you to do, make something that represents silence.
Open to: Photo manipulation and Mixed Media.
You may use any stock, but the only thing that needs to be done for sure is credit, credit any and all stock use.
Please no explicit horror or mature content.
You can have some blood, just don't majorly over due it... this is a support contest. No hate art!!
All entries have to be new! NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED IF THEY WERE POSTED BEFORE MARCH 3 2008!!
Deadline: April 23, 2008 at Midnight EST (Eastern Time)
All entries should be sent via note titled "Contest Entry"

There is absaloutly nothing wrong with being different! If any thing, I would say that these people are special and are lucky to be different! There is no laws or stuff like that saying that you can't love the other sex and stuff, so I don't see why you guys have to be hurt by 'straight' people.
I think I'll enter if I can remember to. If not, I'll send all my love and reguards to all those out there who love to be different!
(Sorry for it being long)
...Could be because it's quite an integrated idea where I come from (first country to legalise gay marrage). I can't stand people that treat others different, just because of orientation. From the bottom of my heart, I hope more people will see that it doesn't matter, and we're all humans with a heart and mind and the need to be loved, whomever would give us that.
