The Naked Community

Inspired by some series of articles entitled "Community Choice" I thought of doing the same, but with a twist, so I posted a journal and this article was born!



Following the "AR Mantra: Bringing Unity to the Community" - I asked the community to to enter with me in a fun way of promoting the Artistic Nudes Gallery and this News Article is the result of it - I believe that many more will come, so keep your eyes open every Monday, because every week there will be at least one issue and I'll be jumping between the community and the senior's from the community, with special guests from dA staff!

With all the fuss about what is appropriate to be posted on dA and what is considered pornography, this is an excellent photograph that may (hopefully) show us that sometimes less is definitely more.



A beautiful photograph that inspires your imagination to visit warm beaches and taste the salty air.



A very unusual and energetic piece from a new, and very talented blooming photographer.



Such sensual symmetry leaves me breathless. (If I ever did that I'd pull a muscle!)

Aside from the exceptional lighting and the models compelling expression (lighting from below has interesting results on a face), there's a geometric interest that one probably wouldn't notice until looking at the full view. The glints in her eyes and off of her jewelry form triangular patterns that seem to lead directly into the palm of her hand. I don't know if that was a happy accident or not, but it made it an instant favorite for me.



The concept alone is enough. A nude rat? But it's also skillfuly photographed. I don't really have the words to say it better, but this is one of my all-time favorite non-DD photos, here.



Before I read the artist comment (which is worth the read), I was already intrigued by what this could mean. I immediately imagined two possible messages. One was that Rachel was feebly attempting to hide from the world, though was obviously still very much exposed. The other was that she was shutting the world out -- though again, this would be a weak measure. In either case, I love that it's just a cardboard box that provides the barrier. When I asked her about it, she suggested that there may be a little of both in the meaning.



I liked this one so much that I had to ask Belenen permission to draw it. The expressions on their faces are wonderful. There's a conveyance of a very deep friendship. And the lighting is very flattering to their figures. I don't know what else to say about it. I just love it.

Tender, sensual and romantic, *sigh*



Theres just something so erotic yet moving about this image, its one of my all time favourites on DA and I can't help but keep going back to it.



Scar is one of my very favourite models, her body tells such a story, and her work with Sita Mae is stunning.



A quiet, softer side to Masuimi Max that you don't often get to see. A classic nude.



This is very different to Mark of PWA's usual work, but it is just wonderful! The soft lighting, the beautiful model and the intriguing mask make this a fantastic conceptual art nude.

I look at this girl, her expression, her ferocity and say to myself, "Where do you find a girl like that, help me find one!"



i just love this shot, hard not to look her in the eyes



The curves, highlights here are just wonderful. I always say that *katyT has a body that talks.

I've noticed some new names around here since I was put on workings. I don't understand why people complained so much, since I continue to display works from the most famous An artists in the first page, if people just select to browse by category... Anyway, I think people are getting more fair exposure now, don't you think, ^Helewidis ?
