As a part of the International Women’s Week we presented series of women that are inspirational to the community. The two women who are amazing inspiration and leaders on DeviantArt are and We have asked Gallery Directors why they look up to these two amazing women and here is what they had to say:



”Dani was always there for me from day 1. From asking me to join the team, and keeping me on the team when things looked at their worst. If it wasnt for Dani's understanding.. I might not be blessed with this amazing team anymore.

She is one of my most admired people not only on the site, but in real life as well. I owe her a billion hugs!”




“Danie is truly the definition of a Wonder Woman, she never stops and the ideas flowing from her are constant and fantastic. She's a motivator, inspiring, Kind and understanding. Rox is the sugary sweet icing on top of the AR cake. If Danie's not there, you can bet Rox will be, always ready to cheer you up when your pissed and help you with your projects.”



“Danie has a heart of gold so large that it wouldn't even be able to fit in scrooge mcduck's money bin. She's definately one of the most caring people I know.

Roxy is a very passionate lady, quick to help and ready to do whatever it takes to encourage the AR team.”



“Sadly, I didn't have the time yet to work with $Moonbeam13 and $FallenRox thoroughly and get to know them. But as far as I've known them (maybe more so, Danie) from before, they have shown very high ambition about the present and future of dA and it's possibilities as well as lots of community love and –caring.”



“Danie is fundamentally good by design. She is sharp and witty. She is occasionally headstrong but never obnoxious. She is supportive and not micromanaging (which given her own admitted OCD is more of a testament to her personal discipline than one might suspect). She is not overly secretive or prone to subterfuge. She engenders loyalty without demanding it. She is sincerely dedicated to her causes.

She is also incredibly tolerant of people with their own obstinate, forged-by-years-of-experience difficult personalities, when they conduct their own idiosyncratic nonsense (read: me). The gal is a peach.”

They have shown strength and kindness in a myriad of different ways and have touched more people than I think they are aware of. If we all had even just a fraction of the devotion that they have to community, the world would be an incredibly beautiful place.”



“Danielle & Kari are 2 of the most inspirational people in my life. Since I've joined Artist Relations my relationship with these 2 women has been so profound I struggle to find the words to describe it. Their faith in me and support in everything has been so overwhelming and has made me a better person - for this I am eternally grateful to them. ”



“Danie is a great woman because she is able to coordinate and operate a huge team on deviantART as well as manage an entire diverse community. Without her tremendous leadership ability to assist the community, deviantART wouldn't have the strong foundation needed to steer the site in the positive direction it has gone.”



“I'm continually impressed and pleasantly surprised by the amount of strength I can draw from people I've encountered on deviantART. I think I certainly share this with a lot of deviants regarding two people in particular: $Moonbeam13 and $FallenRox. Women, artists, leaders...both of these women are all and more as far as I'm concerned, from what I can see in their work on deviantART and from what I know of them each from what I know of them as individuals.

$Moonbeam13 is a tour-de-force of the community. She is an inspiration. She has powered through so much in her life from what little I know, and managed to remain and further become strong. The woman works tirelessly. We can barely keep her from working weekends not to mention all hours of the day. I mean, you've all seen the work she put into raising breast cancer awareness. Look at how much work she does on deviantART, and how much support and love she pours into raising money and awareness for breast cancer research, and then remember that is merely two elements of her life!

She's unimaginably dedicated, meticulous, creative, and single handedly managed and motivated a team of over 50 people internationally for our AR volunteer team! Well, that is until $FallenRox hit the scene...

Not like $Moonbeam13 needed help per se but at least when $FallenRox began to assist her she could get in some naps. Rox is an absolute sweetheart. I've spoken with her at length about deviantART as well as life off the internet and it is no coincidence that she heads AR. She is dedicated beyond belief, a complete complement to Danie.

Not that this is an advertisement for AR, but through what I know of AR I hope I'm making it clear the kind of character these ladies exhibit. But without them, half the projects AR has taken on in the past 6 months would not have become what they are. The work we put in is a cumulative effect of dozens of volunteers, but Danie and Rox organize and manage what gets done, which is integral to its success.


Not only that, but they have each given me great words of encouragement when I have come to them with personal troubles. Empathetic and understanding, down to earth and relatable, I see a little of myself in each of these women; and this is what makes them such an inspiration to me. I see what each has done with her life and her character, and seeing some of myself in them makes me feel that I can live up to those standards as well. Thus, inspiring. Truly. I don't mean to lump Danie and Roxy into a "they" over and over, but it's their faults for being so goddamn great in such similar ways

With the amount of kindness I have been shown since the very first day of joining this team, I don't think I can hear or see anything the same way again. Thank You Danie and Roxy for the immense amount of kindness you have shown me and this amazing community.”




“Most of the people know danie aka $Moonbeam13 and roxy aka $FallenRox as dA admins, or Artist Relations GM, giving out news, informations and interacting vital things about deviantART. But a very few people know that they are the captains of this huge ocean called deviantART.
I had the same impression before joining the team, and I never even imagined how much dedication and passion it requires to run such a community before I met Danielle ($Moonbeam13) Think about this, all us gallery directors = $Moonbeam13 . So the amount of work we do, or dont do is all driven by moonbeam13. she knows about each and everything, each followup, each event, and not only that she is an amazing amazing person. even amazing is an understatement. She is the most hard working, passionate, dedicated soul I have ever seen in my entire life. I wish I could be 10% of her. She is always there to guide you if you are depressed, she is always there to support and advice you if you have any personal issue as well, she is always there to stand strong for her community... which is her family! She tears her muscles out working continuously non stop ( I wonder when does she sleep or rest ), and I never see her getting a bit frustrated, or irritated. A woman with so much power, inner strength , energy and intelligence, no doubt we call her the wonderwoman!

Roxy is the most sweetest person I have known in the entire team. She is always on top asking questions, following up, being so involved in the community activities. She is the perfect fit as AR Teams Asst. GM, since her days from being a dA member to a GD and now an admin simply proves that her devotion and dedication for the community is just incredible.

All hats off to them, and Its been an honour, privilege , and must consider myself lucky to meet such strong women leaders , and amazing friends, from whom even learning just 10% is absolutely inspiring!”

"The Artist Relations team is large and always busy with something.. sometimes to the point where I can not seem to figure why mass chaos does not ensue. Then I realize it is because $Moonbeam13 is there to guide us all smoothly along. She endlessly makes all efforts possible to make sure all members of this team.. this family are comfortable and needs fulfilled. Danie has not allowed the troubles and tests of life to pull her down but instead rose from them with an unmatchable strength and force. I am, every day, in awe of what she can do and has done. Danie- Thank you for being such an inspiration and for all that you have done for me. The world is a great deal more magical with you in it!

Only another woman who can be as strong, kind, and determined as $Moonbeam13 should be assisting her in leading such a family, and the perfect woman was found in $FallenRox. I have unfortunately not had the pleasure to interact with Kari much as of yet, however, the fact the Dani choose her speaks volumes in what Kari is capable of accomplishing. What time I have had with Kari I have found her to be gentle as a cat but yet powerful as a panther. I look forward to the future for I wish to be able to get to know her better.
Together they are a kick ass force of nature! ”

They are both always kind, willing to listen and offer a hand.
