Another turbulent month is now behind us. A new edition of Bulb is here, despite of a whole batch of different challenges and influenzas which are typical for this time of the year.

We have prepared a new project “Letters of Love and Desire” by Spanish photographer Manuel Garcia Quintana. The series of photographs consists of a sequence of poetic diptych photos accompanied by the author’s lyrics.

Denis Oliver is our special guest in this month’s interview section, who is known to most as the founder of “Art limited Net” and as an author who successfully merges digital and analogue techniques.


Mare Milin, in this issue, continues her column under the title “The Age of Innocence” elaborating on some of her early photographic experiences. Are you intrigued about what “BLINK/TREPTAJ” is? Then we highly recommend that you read this article.

Early in this year one more Rijeka Carnival was held. It imposed itself on the city, the region and Croatia as a “5th Season” – a season for craziness and relaxation with its exuberant entertainment, sports and cultural programs it caters to people of all ages and tastes. Vladimir Mudrovicic chronicled the events with his camera and we bring you an array of interesting carnival photographs.

Last month the Bulb blog was started, conceptualized as a place for the publication of news and the interaction with the visitors and readers of Bulb magazine.
We cordially invite your participation by writing to us about your impressions and proposals, so we can together make Bulb achieve an even higher quality standard for mutual satisfaction.

Recently, we changed the outline of the archives. Now, besides the number of each earlier edition of a magazine there is an authors’ inventory of those who with their photographs, projects, conversations and reports participated in that edition.

Finally, we bring to you a picture gallery with 24 photos by 24 authors.
