FCC Slams Comcast: Net Neutrality wins?

reports, July 12FINALLY! For those that haven't been following the NN movement, Net Neutrality is the belief that the internet should be free to all consumers and not have your internet be monitored by your ISP.
Unfortunately for Comcast customers they discovered last summer that Comcast was limiting their usage of P2P programs such as Limewire and BitTorrent and then lying about it, saying "It was probably a technical glitch". But after extensive tests run by Carnegie Melon in conjunction with students from MIT, they found that Comcast was forging net connections which ended abruptly and stopped your download.
Comcast continued to deny it until Free Press dropped a lawsuit in their laps. The FCC agrees and will vote on the movement to fine Comcast for violating the Net Neutrality law.
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! The websites you know and love could soon become unavailable as quickly as 2010...unless you're willing to pay.
Comcast, Verizon and AT&T are literally spending tens of millions of dollars to lobby Congress to drop the internet in their laps and let them decide how to use it. That means that you would have to actually PAY to get to high traffic sites that those companies do not own. Which means DeviantArt, MySpace, Facebook, Gaia and YouTube would be come unavailable for users who do not want to pay.
Speak up, Speak out, Rally your representatives and save the internet.

reports, March 12Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce officially, for the very first time, CALIBER8. Caliber8 is DA's newest, and to my knowledge, first Collaboration club. I could be wrong on that one, but like I said, it is a fact to the best of my knowledge.
Caliber8 is a collaboration club dedicated to helping artists team up with other artists, and realize the potential possibilities of combined talent. It is a very user friendly community where everyone is guaranteed equal say in what goes on.
It is every artists experience that from time to time, we all experience the dreaded dry spell. Caliber8 is here to help. Within a dry spell an artist can pull a great deal of inspiration by using up an unfinished piece from another artist.
What's the difference between Caliber8 and a regular stock source? Freedom and friendship. Caliber8 members are encouraged to help one another, to speak and challenge one another. This bodes to be alot of work for me to manage both Caliber8 and my whiteraven76 account, but believe me, with the vision I have for a friendly club that is not limited to only one genre or style, Caliber8, in time, hopefully will prove to be one of the best clubs around.
Never before have I seen such an interest in artists working together.
Caliber8 is looking foranyone who's interested....ANYONE!!
