I want to thank everyone who has helped me raise money for Animals Asia's China Bear Rescue so far by buying plushies and bags! I wanted to let you know that we reached the first donation goal and officially befriended Freedom the bear a couple days ago! I'm just waiting on the photo to be delivered, then I will frame it and take pictures to show you

If you don't know about the China Bear Rescue, let me fill you in quickly. The Rescue works tirelessly to rescue bears from bear bile farming, removing their catheters and giving them a beautiful sanctuary to rehabilitate in! (please check out their site for more information)

Now that I know that raising money through making plushies is actually feasible, I want to step it up and do more. I'm planning on making a lot more crafts in the near future, trying to market the heck out of it and raising the percentage that I donate from the profits

My goal in all this is to try and raise 1000$ this year. That may not seem like very much to donate in the grand scheme of things, but I think that every bit helps. 1000$ can go a long way to paying for the bears' enclosures, or helping to pay for food for a bear for one year
