Hello, my name is HasNoOxygen. I'm sure you saw my last news article on the Church of Scientology. It was deleted by the dA admins saying it did not meet up to the expectations of a news article.
Well now I have found out what I can put up, and I am redoing my journal.
As I'm sure you know The Church of Scientology is an organization made by the Founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard. As of now Scientology is accepted by the government as a religion, and the Church of Scientology is considered a non-profit organization. However, this is not the case.
The Church of Scientology charges its members for 'lessons' such as auditing, and many other things.
Now before you get any assumptions, I AM NOT AGAINST THE RELIGION OF SCIENTOLOGY, YOU ARE WELCOME TO BELIEVE IN WHATEVER YOU LIKE. I am however AGAINST THE CRIMES COMMITTED BY THE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY.
In the past 50 years the Church of Scientology have gotten away with so many crimes that they are pretty much free to do whatever they like, without being punished. Allow me to explain.
The Church of Scientology has a Fair Game policy that they enforce against people they call 'SPs' or Suppressive Persons. Allow me to show you it.
ENEMY SP Order. Fair game. May be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed.
That is the Fair Game policy. Now, you might have heard that this was dropped a while back. That isn't true. SPs are no longer called 'Fair Game' However the document clearly states that the way SPs are are handled doesn't change. So this is the result.
ENEMY SP Order. May be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed.
See much of a difference? Didn't think so. But what exactly is an SP you ask?
FYI: When the Church of Scientology 'declares' someone, it is the same as being labeled an SP.
What things can get you labeled suppressive by the Church of Scientology?
There is no simple explanation of what constitutes a Suppressive Person. Usually, someone is labeled Suppressive if they have committed any of the offenses that appear on Scientology's list of High Crimes. There are dozens of High Crimes in Scientology, among which are:
Copyright Violations
"142) Using the trademarks and service marks of Dianetics and Scientology without express permission or license from the owner of the marks or its authorized licensee.
"149) Unauthorized use of the materials of Dianetics and Scientology.
"150) Holding, using, copying, printing or publishing confidential materials of Dianetcis and Scientology without the express permission or license from the author of the materials or his authorized licensee.
"153) Intentional and unauthorized alteration of LRH technology, policy, issues or checksheets."
Practicing Scientology outside of the Scientology Umbrella Organization
"145) Organizing splinter groups to diverge from Scientology practices still calling it Scientology or calling it something else.
"146) Organizing a splinter group to use Scientology data or any part of it to distract people from standard Scientology."
145 and 146 are meant to deter people from practicing Scientology outside of the Scientology umbrella organization. This is why members of the Freezone are all declared Suppressive.
Taking Legal Action Against Scientology
"158) Proposing, advising or voting for legislation or ordinances, rules or laws directed toward the suppression of Scientology.
"160) Testifying hostilely before state or public inquiries into Scientology to suppress it.
"161) Reporting or threatening to report Scientology or Scientologists to civil authorities in an effort to suppress Scientology or Scientologists from practicing or receiving standard Scientology.
"162) Bringing civil suit against any Scientology organization or Scientologist, including the nopayment of bills or failure to refund, without first calling the matter to the attention of the International Justice Chief and receiving a reply.
"174) Delivering up the person of a Scientology without justifiable defense or lawful protest to the demands of civil or criminal law."
Saying Bad Things About Scientology in Public
"156) Public disavowal of Scientology or Scientologists in good standing with Scientology organizations.
"157) Public statements against Scientology or Scientologists but not to Committees of Evidence duly convened.
"159) Pronouncing Scientologists guilty of the practice of standard Scientology."
"164) Writing anti-Scientology letters to the press or giving anti-Scientology or anti-Scientologist data to the press."
Asking for your Money Back
"163) Demanding the return of any or all fees paid for standard training or processing actually received or received in part and still available but undelivered only because of departure of the person demanding (the fees must be refunded but this policy applies)."
Talking to or Associating with Other Suppressive People
"166) Continued adherence to a person or group pronounced a suppressive person or group by HCO [editor's note: HCO is the Hubbard Communications Office].
"167) Failure to handle or disavow and disconnect from a person demonstrably guilty of suppressive acts."
Telling Anyone That You're Leaving
"215) Informing fellow staff members and others that one is leaving staff."
"230) It is a high crime to publicly depart Scientology."
All of this and more can get you declared a SP. Now, remember the Fair Game policy? Isn't some of those 'crimes' a bit harsh to be DESTROYED over? 'It is a high crime to publicly depart Scientology' That is why most people don't leave. Let's say you were born into Scientology. All your parents, relatives, friends, etc. are in Scientology, but you want to leave. If you do leave, you are declared a SP. But what does this mean for members inside the Church?
If you are declared a SP, you ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT COMMUNICATE WITH ANYONE WITHIN THE CHURCH, actually they can't communicate with you, as they will also be declared. This is where 'Disconnection' comes into play.
The Church of Scientology separates families, but that isn't the only way they do it, oh no. We've only touched the tip of the iceberg. We're about to get into the heavy stuff.
Sea Org.
Also known as Sea Organization, is The Church of Scientology's private Navy. When you sign up for Sea Org, you have to sign a contract saying that you'll work for The Church of Scientology for a certain amount of years. How long you ask? One Billion Years. No, it's not a typo. 1,000,000,000 years. Since Scientologists believe in reincarnation, their reincarnate is supposed to come back and work for Scientology again.
Now, who can join the Sea Org? Anyone who has not taken ANY sort of drug. So if you weren't in Scientology when you were born, and you've taken a drug since you joined Scientology, you can't work for Sea Org. So who is their primary target? Children born into Scientology (As early as 14)
They have been taught to believe that they are actually fighting for Earth's survival against psychiatrists, so they believe they are saving humanity. Are they stupid? No, of course not. But if you've been told something your whole life, without even 1 person contradicting it, you would believe it too.
So believing you are saving humanity could push you to work hard, couldn't it. Sea Org members could work up to over 17 hours a day, barely get any rest, and are worked like dogs. Unless you are married you could share a room with up to 13 people. You can't marry out of the organization either, that is forbidden. You can't do more than kiss unless you are married as well. But that's not even the worst part.
Husbands and wives, parents and children, can be separated by Sea Org at any time. If the family complains, they are punished. Children may only see their parents once a year, if even that.
Now you might be thinking, why does the local authorities let them work their members so hard? Why doesn't the government step in? Well The Church of Scientology has so many Churches around the world that labor laws don't apply to them. But there is another reason.
The Church of Scientology's legal team.
The most ruthless group of lawyers you will ever come in contact with. They will use every trick in the book and have even brought the U.S. Government down to its knees. When The Church of Scientology first asked for Tax Exemption, the IRS was COMPLETELY against it. Of course The Church of Scientology has its dirty tricks, hiring private investigators to spy on certain members of the IRS. Of course the IRS still said no. However, after a unexpected meeting, the IRS quickly changed its mind and granted them tax exemption. Strange don't you think?
The Church of Scientology's legal team has never lost, and unless a lot of people come together, they won't.
The Crimes of The Church of Scientology.
But you've already told us of their crimes. Yes, I have, but there is more to it than that.
Operation Snow White was the Church of Scientology's name for a project during the 1970s to purge unfavorable records about Scientology and its founder L. Ron Hubbard. This project included a series of infiltrations and thefts from 136 government agencies, foreign embassies and consulates, as well as private organizations critical of Scientology, carried out by Church members; the single largest infiltration of the United States government in history with up to 5,000 covert agents.
But wait, if this happened, why does the government still look at them as a religion? Why isn't it shut down? Yet again the Church of Scientology's legal team has won, and therefore, saved the Church.
Operation Freakout, also known as Operation PC Freakout, was the name given by the Church of Scientology to a covert plan intended to have the author Paulette Cooper imprisoned or committed to a mental institution. The plan, undertaken in 1976 following years of Church-initiated lawsuits and covert harassment, was meant to eliminate the perceived threat that Cooper posed to the Church and obtain revenge for her publication in 1971 of a highly critical book, The Scandal of Scientology.
Paulette Cooper was declared an SP by The Church of Scientology and almost completely ruined her life, you can get the full story, along with other information, at the end of this article. She was seen as a high-priority target by the Church's Guardian Office. What is the Guardian Office you ask?
The Office of Special Affairs or OSA (formerly the Guardian's Office) is a department of the Church of Scientology. According to the Church, the OSA is responsible for directing legal affairs, public relations, pursuing investigations, publicizing the Church's "social betterment works," and "overseeing its social reform programs". Some observers outside the Church have characterized the department as an intelligence agency, comparing it variously to the CIA, the Secret Service, and the KGB. The department has drawn criticism for its involvement in targeting critics of the Church for dead agent operations. OSA has mounted character assassination operations against many critics of the Church.
OSA is the successor to the now-defunct Guardian's Office, which was responsible for Operation Snow White; both are in Department 20 in the Scientology Org-Chart.
Ok so now I've given you enough information on The Church of Scientology, from here you can make a decision. Forget about their crimes and indecencies, or you can take a stand and fight for the rights of the members of The Church of Scientology who do not have a chance.
"But I'm one person, what can I do to help?"
Good question, I'll get to that, but first to wrap this up.
Now, I'm sure some of you have heard of the infamous hacker gang 'Anonymous' I am a part of Anonymous. However, it is not just a group of Hacker and Internet Trolls. People see Anonymous as this because the hackers and trolls are the ones that get publicity.
However, the members of Anonymous that have been sitting in the shadows has found a reason to show itself to the public and let you know just what Anonymous is. It is merely a group of collective individuals who have the same common interest: Having a few laughs. However, many Anonymous members see the Church of Scientology as a threat to themselves and the rest of the world. And because Anonymous is such a big group of people, can't be traced easily, and are not afraid to speak up, they have gathered many Anonymous members and became activists against the Church of Scientology. These activists are now spreading the word about the Church. Yes, I am one of those activists. The activists are no longer just made up of Anonymous anymore, but people of the public, like you and me. However, they will stay anonymous for their safety, so if course they will use the name Anonymous, which IS JUST A NAME TO HIDE ONE'S IDENTITY.

Scientology is the epitome of the question "when does a cult become a religion".
