Bring Back fotoFRIDAY!

For over a year, *fotoFRIDAY provided a place where writers could seek inspiration -- and in the past few months, our poor little *fotoFRIDAY has been gathering dust with inactivity. But after much encouragement from deviants and a little elbow grease, it's time to bring *fotoFRIDAY back again! :D

What is *fotoFRIDAY? It's inspiring art through art. Photographs from users on deviantART are used as inspiration from writers to kick start their minds and provide a cure to writer's block. For the past year, fotoFRIDAY has received photo suggestions from users like you -- and with our stock of photographs dwindling, we need help from you to get back on track!


:o Hey, I want fotoFRIDAY back! How can I help?

You can help us in a number of ways! First and foremost, you can suggest a photo to us! Or, if you're a photographer with photography here on deviantART, we would love to be able to use your photography!

If you're looking for other ways to help, we are always looking for users to spread the word about fotoFRIDAY -- and we encourage you to participate too. fotoFRIDAY is nothing without the writers who choose to use it!


:library: What kind of photography is fotoFRIDAY looking for?

All kinds! The beautiful thing about photography is that it inspires people in different ways. We love to see what kind of reaction writers take to a photograph and how it differs from other writing that's inspired by the same photo.

If you want a better idea of the kinds of photography *fotoFRIDAY likes to use, you can take a look at our shoutboard and deviations. Our shoutboard has thumbs of past fotoFRIDAYS featured, and our deviations have a masterlist of photographs and photographers used in fotoFRIDAY. :nod:
