Do you have a band without a music video? Enter to win a chance to see your music in a music video.

Why?

I've been dabbling in film and editing for a year now and I'd really like the chance to work with some musicians to create a music video. I now have new equipment and software to make this dream possible. I'm a firm believer in supporting unknown musicians, I would love to work with your band.

How?

Note me (titled "Win a Music Video") with:

* A little bit about your band's type of music
* Musical influences
* A link to the MP3 that you and your band would like to see as a music video
* Lyrics to the song
* What type of video you would like to see it turned into

When?

I will be open to submissions until April 20th. After that, the winner will be announced and I will begin communication on what your vision. The music video will be completely free of charge.

Rules

- Your band must be at least 3 months old.
- No hate music or music showing hate towards any race/sexuality/etc.
- Music must be sent already uploaded to the internet, but you must also have a downloadable MP3 to produce if you win.
- Your music must be high quality please no static or bad sound.
- The song must be an original work and not a cover.

What if I'm a single musician and not a band?

I welcome ALL musicians to enter. If you're a solo singer or a musician of a more classical instrument (I'm fond of the violin!) please enter.

Will I have control over the music video?

I would like to work with you (and your band) on the artistic vision of the music video (unless you'd like to hand it over to me and see my own interpretation.) Do know that I may have limited resources concerning large amounts of actors, places, et cetera.

If I'm in the Texas area, can we meet?

If you live in the Houston area and win the contest, I would love to meet to discuss this further and to film. Please note me.

How do I get my music uploaded to the internet to send to you?

You can upload it to myspace.com, youtube.com (with a black screen or lyrics), or imeem.com.

When You Win...

You will be asked to:

- Provide me with a way to easily contact you and your band members. Email, IM, or phone. Please don't win and then stop contact with me.

- Email me or provide a download of your MP3.

- Provide (if able to, you don't have to) video tape of you or your band performing the song.

- Sign an e-contract allowing me to use your song in a video.

I will:

- Discuss ideas, themes, and resources.

- Keep you informed on progress and shooting.

- Provide you with a rough cut of the video before it's released.

- Upload it to YouTube and DeviantArt.
