Okay, so welcome to another edition of Mini-DDs! Where we strive to bring you the finest in DD-quality artwork! Granted, we're usually under the influence of caffeine & loud music when it comes to deciding what the "finest" is, but rest assured that it will all kick ass in the end!
Alright, so sadly once again I really don't have much to say for the little "pre-show" introduction we usually have here. Granted, the majorty of this week's features involving animals in some way might be a tad noteworthy, but I already covered that in the outside summary.
So in order to kill time, I would once again like to assure all of you that what we feature here is fully judged on actual talent & creativity, making sure to give proper exposure to & reward the best. Unlike FairExposure, which just relies on a cheap algorithm.
Yep, it's another mini-protest against FairExposure. Sorry, but until I can actually find a DA staff members willing to actually answer my questions without dodging them, you're still going to see one of these each week.
Now, FairExposure does have some slightly decent qualities, to be honest. And some DA members definitely like it. But the way it gives out exposure simply based on pity for "lesser" categories offends me. Sure, the old system isn't perfect, but it properly rewarded the best artists via a democratic fashion. And having to get rid of democracy is just falt-out wrong.
So how do we solve our little problem here? Simple. Use both systems. Either make FairExposure optional or have the two systems side by side. It's win-win. What's so wrong with that? So if you'd like to help out the community & help giving Deviants & their work the proper exposure, you can do so by sending notes to the DA staff saying that we should combine the best of both worlds & have two systems.
*steps off soapbox* Ahhh..Well, sorry about the preaching, people. But FE spits in the face of the philosophy behind Mini-DDs, & I'm sorry, but I can't stand for it. But the good news is that enough time has been killed now, so let's get going with the main event already!!
Okay, so if you don't know by now, the featured artists here each receive the Golden Fefcaine Award:

...My little prestigious token of appreciation for anyone who created some amazing, DD-worthy artwork. Plus it has a delicious milk chocolate center! And this week we've thrown fudge crumble & green food coloring into the mix! Woo-hoo!!
Oh, & feel free to check out the Mini-DD Archive afterwards right here:
[link]Alright now, on with the show! Here's this week's Mini-DDs...
comission 4 chibipunk7231, simply put, is a beautiful, sultry, & lovable piece of work. Combining some truly innovative & cool character design with *
sergevirusx's excellent style, coloring, & overall knack for drawing the female form, this one stiking & fun anime drawing that you definitely shouldn't miss out on. And come on, how can you resiset anything involving magical Slurpees?

With
BLOOBIES EATER...Because anything that feels like a mix of LocoRoco, campy monster movies, & funky little vector creatures has to be full of win. ~
Defect303's fun & amazing style definitely makes for some humorous & cute creations, & this is definitely no exception. Once again, if every funky little detail of this doesn't bring a smile to your face, then you have no soul.

Two extremely amazing artists with two equally amazing style, ~
TFDC & =
o7addict combine their forces to bring you
Bacon Rhapsody, a ridiculously cute, funny, & action-packed piece of work that's perfectly whacked-out, surreal, & cartoonish, featuring an amazingly well-detailed assortment of piggies in all sorts that...Well, look, all you need to know is that it's one truly sweet piece of vector work. Can't get much simpler than that!

*
VonToten worked with quite a unique idea - chanelling the things in life he loathes into creating an effective villain - & ended up creating
Buffalo Bill Brickhouse, a truly unique character design that perfectly feels a menacing foe straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon, largely in thanks to the artist's amazing style. Even if this didn't win the contest in the description, there's still no denying that this is truly awesome. Bravo!

~
00Aki is definitely a master when it comes to
Sonic-related artwork, especially when it involves her own fan characters...Like with
Night wing of blOOd. Kickass character, action-filled style & pose, amazing mix of colors, splendid details (gotta love that blood wing)...I could probably go on, but I'll just let this wicked straight-out-of-
Kill Bill-styled fan art speak for itself.

If there's one thing that *
ValentinaCrespo knows well, it's how to make you go "Awww, man is that cute!". Seriously, her amazingly charming creations have led to a whole gallery of delights in which choosing just one Deviation to feature here is near-impossible...But in the end I went with
Bleuh, in which her lovable & smooth style goes toward making a unique, cool, & sweet character/persona that's a stroke of genius. Gotta love it!
Twilight Ganja by =
Radioactive13...Yep, it's a marijuana monster. Definitely a funny concept there, & not one most would take seriously...But R.R. surprisingly put a lot of work into every aspect of it, from the design to the drawing to the background to the little areas such as pose & shading, creating one twisted & cool creature in the process. A pot-fueled masterpiece, indeed.

~
TMNTurtles, a self-proclaimed "stalker of fictional characters", is easily quite skilled at coming up with his own creations, as seen in works such as
Whose hand is that...? With unique character designs, a cool style, a nice little touch of humor, & an overall fun mood, it makes me wonder why the Hell it had absolutely no faves when I first saw it (What is
wrong with you people?).

Okay, so ~
aboutface may have already received a DD about a month ago, but there is just no way that I could resist featuring
Show and Tell here. With an explosion of vibrant colors, several cool & funny little designs, an amazing style, & a gloriously trippy feeling smeared all over it, how is it possible to
not love something this deliciously surreal & fun?
...& that's all for this week! If you have any comments, suggestions, etc., they'd be greatly appreciated! I hope you've all liked what I've featured this week, & I'll be back next week with nine more DD-worthy works of art! Sayanora until then! ^_^

People want to find a "meaning" in everything and everyone.
That's the disease of our age, an age that is anything but practical,
but believes itself to be more practical than any other age.
