Hey guys, it's me Tyler, or simply nightmarehymn, here to tell you of wonderful news involving writers and deviantSpotlight!

On this rainy, Tuesday afternoon, I sat down with a friend of mine,*lenawargo, in #Secretadmirerplz, to talk about the treatment of writers here on dA and how, if every other artist could get major and widespread attention for their works, why couldn't writers? She was quick to agree on me with my question, that has yet to have an answer to it, but instead of giving me an answer, she gave me an idea. If we have deviantSpotlight working hard and nonstop to get all other artist out there...why not have one for writers? I was sure to nod my head with this idea.


Along with the idea, she gave me the power to manage the idea and made me an official member of the secretadmirerplz friends and staff list. So to all you guys who I told countless times, that I was going to help writers out there, that I was going to make sure all my writers out there were going to be known and praised just as equally as everyone else, I'm not lying. If Writing Tour 08 wasn't a good idea, then Writers Spotlight will be.

Writers Spotlight is designed to have the same function as deviantSpotlight, it's to get people in the spotlight, all artists, all who create some form of expression and are bold enough to put it out there for all to view and critique. Though the two have many differences, Writers Spotlight is designed for writers only. Writers are to send in ONE poem or story of their own in a form of a note to deviantSpotlight with the subject:WRITERS SPOTLIGHT. They should also have a photo on-hand in the note or available in their scraps. I'll read the work, whatever it may be, poem, prose or anything else, and tell the good folks out there why I chose it and why they should give it a read to. Five artists, writers actually, but what's the difference, will be spotlighted for a day. Remember all my writers out there, simply chose a story of your own, send it in a note to deviantSpotlight with the subject WRITERS SPOTLIGHT, and a picture of the writer themselves should be included in the note as well. Five writers will be picked for a day, weekly, to be spotlighted, and I'll be recommending their pieces for specific reasons.

Writers, this is your time to shine, use it wisely, and most importantly, just use it. This is a great opportunity to show everyone on dA that writing is a great, expressive, genuine, art-form, and that you are one of the handful that use it, have mastery over it, and have the true power to stand up in front of everyone and claim your title as a writer!
