I Don't Care About Your New Portfolios

=Commander-Luminaire:iconCommander-Luminaire: reports, July 1
So today I've been getting fullscreen advertisements for the new portfolio feature. I'm aware of it, thank you, and I don't care. Why does deviantART feel the need to advertise it like this to subscribers? I pay to not have any form of advertisement, including ones from deviantART. I know there is a feature that notifies everyone of new features in their message centre, so why is it that you guys feel that fullpage advertisements are the best way to let us know? That's just more irritating than anything :|

HUGE Jewelry Supply Expo - MJSA Expo New York

=xodropdeadox:iconxodropdeadox: reports, March 19, 2008
The Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City will be host to Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America’s MJSA Expo New York. MJSA Expo New York is the largest and oldest trade show in the United States. The event will be held Sunday- April 13th, Monday- April 14th, and Tuesday- April 15th. You can sign up to go as a MJSA Member, a Non-Member Buyer, or a student. If you go as a student the times you can view the Expo are limited and exhibitors may be reluctant to throw all of their free samples your way.

Show Hours
Sunday, April 13 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Monday, April 14 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, April 15 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Buyer registration opens at 9:00 a.m. each day

Students enrolled in jewelry-related programs are welcome at the show during the following times ONLY :
Sunday, April 13 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, April 15 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Students must present their student ID when registering.

There will be almost 400 exhibitors bringing with them the latest tools, supplies, machinery, components and services to share with the jewelry community. There are also educational seminars and classes from renowned experts. It’s also a perfect place to build network connections with industry insiders. Many of the exhibitors give away free samples including different types of mold making silicone and rubber for wax injection molds for casting. There will also be stone dealers with things you will not be able to find anywhere else. Since the MJSA Expo is a trade show, everything will be sold at wonderful discounted prices.

The best part about the MJSA Expo New York – Admission is free.
If you go to their website and register online you don’t have to pay an admission fee. On the Expo days admission is only free for MJSA members and non-member admission will be $15. It’s a trade-only show so you need proof of belonging to a jewelry business. All you need to bring along is a photo ID and business card that indicates you belong to some sort of jewelry business – meaning you either buy jewelry manufacturing supplies because you make jewelry or you buy finished goods for resale.

You can sign up to attend the show by going to the MJSA Expo New York admissions page.

To get more information about the show itself you can go the the MJSA Expo New York main page.
