About the «Forbidden Gaze»:

In order to promote quality male artistic nudes – that seem to be hiding away within our site, the purpose of this contest is to bring fun with a touch of historicity to our deviants. It is known that (not only) in the occidental side of the world the male nudes were forbidden to be gazed by women – therefore it was even more forbidden for the female gender to make art depicting a male nude.


The idea here is to bring more quality male nudes to the Artistic Nudes gallery while being concerned about Art & History in its concept: The contest submitters are asked to make one photo/portrait containing at least one male nude; this way depicting the forbidden gaze itself.


There are many open areas around this concept of forbidden gaze.
You can interpret it within your likings: you can make a time travel and compose it classic, like Greek statues poses or even to the future and build a whole futurist scenery where women are still forbidden to gaze at the male nude; you can make it expressive, emotive, spontaneous, humoristic, conceptual, etc…


Whatever you do make sure you give your imagination the freedom that is necessary to respond to this challenging contest presenting us with an Original & Quality artwork!

only ONE deviation per member, so choose wisely which one to upload and please remember this is Photography only!
