Nightmares and Fairytales illuminates gentle, female beauty through stories of terror-drenched tragedy, truly showcasing Serena Valentinos literary talent. Some are based on traditional fairytales, while others are fairy-tale worthy stories composed by Serena. Told through the eyes of a year-weary doll, Annabelle, each issue tells the story of one of Annabelles girls, as she affectionately calls them.
Of course, a comic would not be complete without art, and these stories have been illustrated lavishly. Singaporean artist F.S.c became the original artist, giving the stories an enchanted touch with her sketchy, curly-Q cute style. When F.S.c left, Crab Scrambly temporarily came in, and the last artist to carry the NFT torch is Camilla d'Errico, who will illustrate the series to its approaching end.
