The results for the Empowering The Woman Within contest have been finally tallied

The International Womens week went just too quick, and it is something that should last for whole year long, not just a celebration reminder of what women have potential to be, we need to be reminded of that every single day, we have to remember where we have started and where we are right now and where we still have to go.
We had a mountain of journals and articles being written, we had trivia night and we had this awesome contest where it is time to announce the winners.
First I would like to thank everyone that has participated, as well as all the judges:

The winner of the contest with the overwhelming majority of the votes was:

Moonbeam13 awarded her 1 point and said: This just about embodies those qualities that resonate in mothers - protectiveness, strength, balance, comfort and love and it's all displayed wonderfully in this picture.
$
FallenRox awarded her 5 points and said: The best piece by far, hands down. Technically it's well done and the story is told so easily at a glance. Gorgeous work and lovely tribute.
^
ArtisticAunJuli awarded her 5 points and said: I get a sense of pride looking at this piece. It really feels as though this woman is determined and steadfast in all of the things she can do using all the strength of a man and all the tenderness of a woman
^
feawen awarded her 4 points and said: This shows how women are important! Especially for kids.
^
Katerina423 awarded her 5 points and said This is the most natural and real depiction of what a women really is. I cannot explain how wonderful the real-ness is. A "woman" is often stereotyped by even women themselves.. I think to see the real strength of what it means to be a woman and mother, you need to look at somebody that is doing it right. This is what this painting shows... what it really means to be a woman. And there is no symbolism that could say it better than this image itself.
%
fangedfem awarded her 4 points and said: This image captures simply and sweetly the motherhood aspect of women. Not only the hard work that comes with being a mother, but how women deal with that responsibility along with the rest of lifes work that comes along and doesnt stop just because children are born.
^
rhapsouldize awarded her 3 points and said: A beautiful painting documenting the strength of this woman and the beauty of motherhood.
`
shell4art awarded her 5 points and said: She used Thermal Raven's image-who in my opinion is one of the great photojournalists here on dA. She was able to bring out even more character and detail than even he did!! This is an absolutely splendid art piece.
^
Sophquest awarded her 1 point and said: Beautifully drawn... a scene from any country. A women's core strength... being motherhood.
^
sbaraci awarded her 2 points and said: Just beautiful and strong. It epitomizes the relationship between mother and a child, as well shows that mothers do quite a lot, besides just child minding.

just-joking has won 50 deviant dollarsand fella plushie
2nd place will have to go to:

Moonbeam13 awarded her 4 points and said: Simply a badass shot while maintaining a quiet sexually. The power in this picture is glowing from the inside.
^
archanN awarded her 1 point and said: her expression is outstanding. The attitude and expression of being ahead always is brilliant.
^
feawen awarded her 3 points and said: This is a nice example of egality between women and men!
^
sbaraci awarded her 5 points and said: For me this image when I saw it hit home right away. It is high spirited, strong, determined, ready to stand and fight for one self. She is ready to walk forward and sees clear path in front of herself without obstacles, well no obstacles she cant tackle.
$
chix0r awarded her 2 points
^
opioid awarded her 4 points
^
oilsoaked awarded her 3 points
 has won 6 month subscription to deviantart and 25 deviantdollars
3rd place will go to
^
Helewidis awarded her 2 points and said: What I most liked in this piece was how it puzzled me and made me think both with my mind and eyes!
%
fangedfem awarded her 5 points and said: I find the way the artist presented their imagery for this theme to be unique and inspiring. The flow and strong brush strokes of the work, as well as the overall abstractness, are beautiful and for me captures the integral energy of a woman without the usual details of beauty one associates with the female form.
^
rhapsouldize awarded her 4 points and said: Just a gorgeous abstract piece...
^
Sophquest awarded her 5 points and said: This is just so beautifully organic.. earthy, in its abstractness. It's ...woman as an integral part of the natural, elemental world... yet, very spiritual also... timeless... eternal.
^
sbaraci awarded her 4 points and said: To me there is nothing more beautifull than mother nature, and abstracted work that embodies woman and nature in one, bringing forward the goddess within, stormy and still strong, relaxed and seductive just sums it up perfectly.

red-lights has won 3 month sub and 15 deviant dollars

FallenRox said Aesthetically pleasing and the symbolic nature is spot on.
^
archanN said: stunning artwork. again portrays her within nature, she is the supreme power of nature, and her legs sensual

^
Helewidis said I always love when a work is both well done technically and with symbolic meanings!
^
Katerina423 said: Not only is this beautifully and skillfully drawn, but the meaning behind is also well thought out.

by

^
archanN said: I love the illustration. its soft and powerful. the expression, angle of focus. perspective, lenses, and curves all make it a truly outstanding artwork showcasing woman on top , powerful and strong with the soft environment.
^
ArtisticAunJuli said: This woman stands tall and beautiful. What more can be said?
%
fangedfem said: While this entry may seem simple in its imagery, it is strong and stands for its right to be proud of being a woman no matter if their appearance does not match what society deems beautiful.
^
sbaraci said: A woman is a goddess, beautifull, strong, shining in every way, her inner beauty shines from within. A woman is able to create heavens with just a smile, or by just a sheer determination create, destroy and recreate whole universe.

by

^
Helewidis said I loved it because it is well done and gives me a feeling of power and awakening for the empowerment of the woman within us!
^
Katerina423 said The symbolism and execution is so exquisite and detailed. This must have taken ages to complete.
^
Sophquest said Good symbolism and a real sense of liberation from the surrounding repression. We've come a long way baby!

`
shell4art said: Colors, meaning, I love this so much that it is beyond words.
^
Sophquest said: Rosie the riveter... an American icon paving the way for feminine independence! I really like the international theme here. The plight of women around the world. If we fight for women's rights... we should fight for it together...worldwide.

Amazing work everyone. I know for many of you this contest was as much an expression of self, and as personal as it was for me. Ladies-- remember how special we are. Men-- don't forget to love those ladies that love you. Both of you, respect one another.
