Well, welcome to another edition of Mini-DDs! Where DD-worthy artwork gets featured for your amusement! And if you don't walk out of here amused by something, then there is seriously something wrong with you!

Now, as mentioned last week, I really want to start promoting more of DA's activities around here, preferably via the actual Mini-DDs themselves. So let's see what the latest contests have to offer...*begins browsing*

Huh. Guess I probably should've put more thought into this...

Hey, not to worry, we do have one contest to help promote here. One of this week's Mini-DDs is an entry for *bezzalair's Maid Contest, in which the goal is to draw one of your original characters as a maid for a chance to win a commission drawn the amazingly talented bezzalair herself. It may not sound like much to a few of you, but anything encouraging the flow of drawings featuring original character designs = Instant win in my book. The contest does end Saturday, but it's still worth taking a look at!

Alright now, on with the show! Here's this week's Mini-DDs...



Well, it seems obviously appropriate that I fell in love at first sight with Moar love by *alzircon. And of course, what's not to love? It's charming, funny, vibrant, showcases an amazing style & some cool & lovable characters, & those sweet expressions are pretty much the cherry on top. All in all, an amazing cartoon that's 100% irresistible & guaranteed to coldcock you with a blast of romantic awesomeness (or something like that).



Simply put, Stickerset Collage by ~stingerstyler is a sweet assortment of several cool & funky little designs, all colorful, well-designed, & completely lovable. And the way it just feels so natural, like you really just ripped open a pack or stickers & poured them out on your desk...It's a layout that shows off all these beauties perfectly, & it just makes me want the real deal even more. Bravo!



*Ann-Jey definitely shows off her skills when it comes to drawing impressive Sonic fan characters (& impressive art in general) with :Green Flames:. Where to begin here...The cool character, the great coloring, the intensity of it all, that wicked expression, all the cool little details...It's just all amazing, & makes for one sweet little profile. Now if only we can get guys like this in the new games...



Note to all the great sci-fi writers in the world: Prepare to be amazed. Jelly vehicle by ~Wallasaurus features an amazingly innovative concept that may very well leave you all green with envy. And of course, the amazing drawing, excellent style, perfect colors, great amount of detail, etc., etc., definitely help as well. Hopefully we're see more imaginative ideas from this talented artist in the future...



Ice cream man by ~illeoh is a fun & simple little cartoon that showcases quite the imagination. Fun, creative character design gets mixed with a cool & unique style, a sweet & perfect color scheme, & an overall fun feeling to create one nice, stunning, & delicious (pun semi-intended) cartoon. You'd have to be nuts not to miss this & the rest of illeoh's gallery!



If there's one artist around here who knows how to continually make great, urban-styled artwork, it's ~antz81. And stuff like all e scratches makin me itch only helps to confirm how amazing he is, thanks to a funky little design, a nice concept, a cool color scheme, & sweet little touches right down to the drips (which actually work pretty well here). Simply put, gotta love it.



On its own, Shiny-maid by *Marauder6272...It's a fun, cute, & joyful little drawing of an equally fun, cute, & joyful character dressed up like a maid. How can you really resist that? And the nice style, great outfit design, sweet bursts & overall usage of purple...It all just works together to make one sweet little piece of work. Good luck in the contest, by the way!



...Whoa. That's not just a Box o' Wonders there in *cyanidetictac's drawing, it's a box full of explosive psychedelic goodness! The amazing mix of vibrant colors, those cool little alien-like designs, all the funky little swirls, details, & the flow of it all, plus the overall tremendously trippy feeling it oozes...It's just truly one mesmerizing & fun Deviation that's definitely worth faving.



Ignorance is Bliss... by ~start-static is definitely a unique way to signify a fresh new start, but it's also (unsurprisingly) a great little drawing in general. Well-styled, perfectly colored, nicely detailed, & even a bit thought-provoking, this is one sweet Deviation with a lot of creativity & work poured into it...& the end result is worth taking a look at.
