Welcome to Resourcefully Yours "Show and Tell. This is the first of my bi-weekly articles concentrating on the exposure of the Resource gallery for the true Treasure Trove that it is.
"Show and Tell" will give you an insight to the large and diverse selection of the fabulous Resources that have been made available to us by our dedicated Resource providers here on devaintART.To do this I have set up a small teams of "Resource Hunters" to go out into gallery to hunt and play with resources and applications they would not normally use by encouraging them to step out of their "safe/comfort zone and try something new. Below you will see what my nifty team has come up with and what they had to say about their newly discovered Treasures.
Presenting my first team of Resource Hunters .
Before and After - PS Action by

The first photo is obviously straight out of the camera, without any additions. The second is the result of a gorgeous PS action!

It was the very first time I used a resource like this around here and now the bug is in me: getting out of the comfort zone rocks
Bananas by

It was difficult to go out of my comfort zone and create something, especially with things I wouldn't normally use and things you don't see often. I've never seen brushes on a Banana. Maybe I don't look enough but hey. XD

Extravagant stocks like these, as I call them, they're beautiful an' all, but I've never ever managed to come up with a concept for a manipulation where I could make them work. If ever I use them, I end up using them for vector art or something. But combined with the other stuff I found, I managed to create something that is a lot different to what I usually create. It was a challenge.

Now definitely, this is something I never ever saw myself using. I was looking through things that would be good drawing still life a while back. After seeing the model stock, I thought, I can use this! So I went back and searched to find it again.

When I was younger, I was in Joseph and his Technicolor Dream Coat. This girl in my school, I can vaguely remember, but she was on top of the PE box. [The ones with levels that you jump over?] and it was draped in satin. She had a similar pose and said, "Peel me a grape." And then I thought FRUIT! I saw the banana stock a while ago when I was searching for still life things to draw, and it clicked. It was just perfect! Grapes? Tad cliche eh? GIMME A BANANA

Textures aren't something I would normally use. And if I had ever saw myself use a Banana, I doubt I would have ever thought of using a texture on it.

Again, brushes aren't something I'd normally use, especially when most of the time, I can make the effects myself. But these were pretty. Given the challenge to use something I wouldn't usually, I spotted them, looking for new things to play with and thought, ah!
Thank you =

Different but Equal by

I was just browsing the Resources gallery, and I caught sight of this really awesome font, Avee Black by *
doppyoI had been wanting to try my hand at text art for a long time and also because of ^
ArhcamtIlnaad's encouragement, but I had not really expected to find a font here! I never even knew that there was a font category on dA!

I am limited by my lack of arts programs, but I really enjoyed making my piece of art, especially as I have never done text art before. I really love the font, it was just what I needed for my piece, bold and modern and very cool!

I definitely recommend you having a look around the font category, and seeing what little wonders you can find!
Unsure :. By

Well, I am quite proud of my lil' unsure emote.
I used to make emotes way back when in the days of the Game Maker Community. There used to be avatar wars and I would animate them... but that was with paint and Microsoft Gif animator. So I've always been curious on how people make these awesome emotes so flawless! I mean, in Microsoft GIF animator you had to make EVERY frame transparent, what a pain!
Thats why I chose to make an animated emote and I am quite happy I did because it was a TON of fun to make! Image ready is really easy to use and this only took me about 1/2 an hour to make o.O And its so cute and unsure

As ^
znow-white said, I have the bug! I may make more now, it was so easy, I would have never guessed.
