First i would like to say my english is terrible, So try to bare with me. Also this is my first news submission!

Well now that the aprill fools joke is over i thought i would post how i feel the community took this april fools joke. Gather ideas and thoughts of this years joke and for next years!

Like most people i logged in to see my avatar changed to the cute little blue mudkip avatar, Not knowing it was a pokemon at the time. I instantly saw this as a joke and burt out laughing. Why? well because if DA got hacked as some beleaved. Account Information,Posts and submissions would have been deleted or stolen, and alot of damage would have been done.

Instantly then looking around my laughter turned to dissapointment when i saw some people complaining and making negative comments about this joke. If you looked on your calanda you would of seen the date and should of exspected somthing. A large website such as this could do so much to scare and prank us. Thinking of the possiblitys and what i would have done, i personaly think this was a very small joke. I would of had a account ban message come up. with a scroll down saying April Fools. but thats just me . But thinking of this i can see how people blew this way out. It could of been worse, but people did not stop to relax and think about it. The large amount of community members found it funny but i feel the odd few with there comments ruined it alittle. possibly ruining any sort of joke next year.

I think some of you need to take the time and relax and try to find the humor in things. Regardless if you found it funny or not, Some of your comments and grama was uncalled for.

But with most of the community i went with the flow, found it funny and joined in with the joke. roleplaying and name calling going around (Mudkip_Danzor) etc, i found it a great laugh and i hope they do another joke next year. Many of the panic comments where funny to read, just added to the days fun.

But what are your thoughts on how the community took this joke?
And what do you think next years joke should be?
