This idea just came to me and I was originally planning on just doing it for photography, but than i thought it would be something fun and interesting that the whole community could enjoy and partake in.


What is "Art Assignment" April?

- Art Assignment, is exactly as it sounds. It's a monthly artistic assignment that every single artist can participate in no matter what your medium of creativity is.


How does it work?

- you are given the month (yes a month) to create a single piece of work based on a single theme.


If I have an old piece that fits the theme can I use that?

- No. the point of art assignment and the month creation period, is so you can test yourself and create something entirely new. So if I notice that your submitted deviation was submitted before the assignment was created, your entry will be voided and you may not be-able to participate in future assignments. so as long as it was submitted after the assignment was your good.


What do the contestant's get out of this?

- at the moment nothing, unfortunately i can't lavish the top entries with subscriptions, nor do i have the artistic talent to do commissions of anything.
So what you'll get out of this, is each entry will be displayed in another article at the end of the month, with the top entries being featured in it. So you get a little exposure, and you have some fun while doing it.

ASSIGNMENT details.

this months theme will be a sort of vague one.

Theme- Spring (I.E, Creation, Love, rebirth, life, joy...) what spring brings to mind every year it comes around.

Due date- April 30th 12.pm PST (Pacific standard time)

also as this is my first time doing something like this, if your interested, please leave a comment so i can get a general idea of what i'm looking at(like will i need to ask for help to judge entries if there's a large amount of them)
