to Photoshoppers out there ...

ever get the feeling that something isn't your work because everything didn't come from you ? like you used someonelse's stock or a brush or a quote. i get this feeling too and somehow it feels like i cheated.

However one must come to terms with the fact that this is the information age. People are inventing new things to make everything in totality better. you can decided to not progress, its easier to resist change. but think about it. all of the fabulous brush and stock makers who put their work up for everyone else to use. its easy to think against the conglomerate world and its easy to fear theft, sometimes people are abusive it is what it is. but think about it think of it like an art collective where everyone is coming together to make art as a whole better. every piece adds to the future and teaches us the limits of what we can do today so that perhaps tomorrow or a year from now we will be doing things we didn't even know we could. simply look at the difference between Photoshop 7 and Photoshop CS2. compare html to java or dream-weaver. vie it as you may , it doesn't change the fact. it makes art better.

i feel guilt for it, but my work is so much better when i use a brush.
