Welcome everyone, to the first eddition of Unseen Articles! What's Unseen Articles about, you may ask, and I'll tell you:
Unseen articles is formed by me, to give some of the more unnoticed, yet very talented artists here on DeviantArt some exposure, through an article that will not only show off their art, but also tell you a bit about the artist themselves.
I hope you will enjoy reading this, as much as I have enjoyed making it.
This article's unseen artist is:

!

Sir-Squishous-McDuck, is only 18 years of age, and yet she has quite the impressive style, with ten deviations and four scraps to show so far, it's definetly worth the look and a watch to keep an eye out for more of this young lady!

Sir-Squishous-McDuck, or Nicole as is her real name, has kindly taken the time to answer some questions, just so that you guys can get to know her better!
1) Why did you pick your screenname? All I know is I was up way too late talking with a friend and I heard I wish I had a duck as Sir Squishous McDuck
It became one of those lame inside jokes that no one gets. Oh yes, I am the queen of Telephone.
2) Now tell us a bit about yourself! Me? Crud. Well, I grew up in lame suburban package A with two dogs and a monster of a little brother. Most exciting thing thats happened to me has been moving into a dorm 40 minutes away from home. Guess Ive had it pretty easy growing up.
3) Which type of art do you do? I do
comic
ish art I guess. Only time I do realistic stuff is when I paint
and no one gets to see me paint.
4) What is your preferred tools and materials? Preferably a pencil and something that vaguely resembles paper. I use Deleter CG for 99.9% of my computer coloring (the rest is divided between paint, picto-chat, and Photoshop
which, by the way, I have decided is the most evil invention known to mankind).
5) When did you start doing the type of art you do? This year. XD No really, up until around this year my style changed dramatically on a bi-weekly basis [kind of like my hair]. Ive drawn everything from dinner plate sized eyes to toothpick bodies.
6) Any particular reason why you began drawing? Well, I was in this class. No, it wasnt an art class, and yes, it was more boring than can be accurately described by the English language. I started doodling in the margins of my notes, and, well, after a semester, I started writing notes in the margins of my doodles. More or less fell in love with drawing around then. Oh god, that was four years ago. I feel old
7) What's your favorite piece? Anything I didnt draw! No, my favorite piece is a major, never to be completed, W.I.P. I started last year and
well, forgot about until recently. Unfortunately, my tablet has somehow uninstalled itself, so the doodles on hold until I figure out where I stored the drivers.
* Which kind of goals do you have for the future, both as an artist and otherwise if you have any?
Ive got this story running in my head that I eventually want to illustrate. Key word being: Eventually. Otherwise, I dont have any art type goals- its my hobby and my escape. Im afraid if I actually picked something to work towards, itd become too much like a job. Know what I mean?
8) What do you feel is your greatest accomplishment in the art world so far? Mmm
passing art class. No, really. My biggest accomplishment has been filling a hundred page notebook with doodles. I usually get through, oh, ten pages before quitting.
9) Do you have a favorite artist, and if yes, who? Argh
I swear my favorite artist changes every time I see new art. Um
right now its
uh
Alphonse Mucha?
10) Where do you find your source of inspiration? Biology class. Or Astronomy. I usually get inspired when Im supposed to be doing something else
like an essay
or taking notes...
11) Any particular advice you'd like to hand out to other unknown artists or just in general? Ick
me, handing out advice
gods. Um
Just keep drawing, or painting, or charcoaling, or whatever really. As long as you enjoy art, its worth doing, whether or not ya got 10,000 page views!
And now for some features from her gallery, although you really must check it all out!
On a closing note, I would like to encourage anyone who feels like they know an artis, who is highly underappreciated, to send me a note with their gallery! And please remember, it's always bad taste to suggest yourself.

Finally she gets some of the credit that she deserves (while claiming that she doesn't).
