Avatar: Why Zutara?

reports, April 5I guess all Avatards more or less, have chosen a ship. Whether it is the romantic Kataang or fierce Zutara.
I myslef have chosen Kataang, since I find it the most attractive and more likely to happen. Others have chosen Zutara. I am not going to badmouth the ship, but I am, however, going to question it.
I suppose it started in the episode "The waterbending Scroll", and created a single hope for those who didn't like the Kataang idea. But I must ask you: Why? Why do you think they like each other?
Zuko only had one goal: To capture the avatar.
Katara had one wish: To free the world from the fire nation.
They have never met without fighting, so how could love blossom?
I guess many Zutara fans would say: "What about Crossroads of destiny?"
I guess I would answer: "What about it? They didn't share a passionate moment, but a moment of understanding the pain of loosing a loved one."
Again I must remind you that I'm not badmouthing Zutara. I myself sail under a dreamy ship (Tokka), and I know somehow what it feels like. But are Zutarians really expecting Zutara to happen on the show, or is it just a sweet dream like Tokka and Taang?

Tokka had potential, and though it may not happen, it still has way more potential than Zutara.
There are crazy Zutarians that think Zutara is going to happy in canon. They are, in fact, so blind that they are 100% sure of it, which is kind of amusing in a way.
What I hate is when people take the Crossroads of Destiny scene and turn it into a romance. It wasn't; looking back, the scene was beautiful in emotional quality and building a bridge of understanding. However, it was understanding, not love, that emerged in that cave.
And people use that against all the epic Kataang scenes filled with love and kisses. It's pretty outrageous; I'm sure Mike and Bryan never even thought of Zutara until the fandom showed it to THEM xD
