Every year my family has a roundup where many come to help get in our cattle. The ranch we gather on is about 2400 acres, almost all hills, most of which are extremley steep. This year we had about 20 horses and 10 guys riding ATVs.

So to start the morning my aunt, who is about 65 years old, was riding her mare which she only rides every other month or so. To get her horse warmed up she starts turining her horse in tight circles. The horse looked like dizzy, like it was about to fall over. All of a sudden it jumped to the side, assumingly to get away from the circles, and she went flying off. The horse's feet got jumbled off and it would up kicking and stepping on my aunt.

Only an hour or so later one of the men riding an ATV rolled down the hill. Deciding to be macho he went down a side hill that was almost stratight down after he was warned not to by many. The ATV went rolling and rolled right over him.

Both of them were driven to the same hospital. The man who had been riding the ATV is being released tonight with a few broken ribs. My aunt was going to be realeased from the hospital when she collasped so they decided to keep her a few days. She for sure has a broken scapula and ribs, but she will be okay.

Now the funny thing was, the doctor told my unlce and the friend who took them to the hospital, "I think someone else from your same round up is here!" We were pretty embarassed at that, its rare that someone ever gets hurt let alone two people in one day!
