We have asked traditional community to tell us which of their traditional works are their favourites, that are the best of the best and why. The journal where the suggestions have been made has flourished with amazing suggestions.
We have decided to feature all of these, and some of these got the Daily Deviation Feature. Now show these awesome artists some love

mooreartist."

philho "I chose a deviation that is close of my own style (but much better!), of the style I like and that is often under represented in features: an inked black and white drawing. This drawing is superb by the amount of lovely drawn details put in and by the beauty of theme (nature). You can add a good narrative flow/progression and a surprising final frame..."

Yamenja "it combines stunningly masterful painting with an emotive and complex subject, making for an image that has tremendous impact but which also demands the viewer's attention for more than a passing glance. One can marvel at the skill, the composition, and actually of the artistry of the main subject - and then go on to comtemplate his own means of self-expression as well as his relationship with the artist, before going full circle to wonder again at the mastery that enabled Denis to be able to produce such an awe-inspiring work of art. Having been fortunate enough to see a version of this painting 'in real life' I can testify to the fact that one could spend a very long time lost in wonder, looking at it. I dont see how anyone could fail to be touched by this work in some way, whether they are an artist, an art lover, or not!"

Yamenja "it speaks for itself - but then paintings do, dont they! I chose this piece because it epitomises something I can only aspire to - to potray the life of the spirit in a lucid and beautiful way. I find Miguel's painting skills superb and his vision really special. The use of the Mische technique (using egg tempera and oil glazes) is also pretty special, and about as traditional as art can be!"

I find his work on one hand quite ethereal, yet at the same time still visceral and earthy. At only 22 it is hard to imagine what he might produce in the future, as his current work is so well developed and so incredibley lovely."

Yamenja "Vincent's stunning portraits seem to capture the essence of his subjects. Sometimes, there is also a gentle humour in them, a sense of life's ironies. His choice of subjects is a million miles away from the kind of super-cool young models that are so often the focus of contemporary figurative painting, and hsi settings often very traditional, yet at the same time his work remains fresh to the point of cutting edge."

Yamenja "Finally (for now) another hyperrealist - Simon Hennessy creates some of the most sophisticated and accomplished work on dA, or off it - yet at the same time remains totally down to earth, approachable and is also very supportive of less developed artists. His work is a completely captivating image which causes the viewer to stop and think about the subject both as a celebrity and a person, as well as to wonder as the skill went into producing such a masterful piece."

Her abstracts, usually in four or five large acrylic panels always exude emotion as well as exhibiting her great skill with form, color and texture and always visually beautiful. Her female figures are what I would call styalized reality, art decoish and lovely. Pink B Blush, pink ribbon day to bring attention to the need for breast cancer rresearch, is an example of how she combined both"

There are just other things I enjoy looking at more. But this pic ... the intensity in her eyes burns through you. What I love about this deviant's work is that her pictures are so much more than just pictures of beautifully drawn people, they portray emotions, situations, contrasts, love and hate. And, of course, she draws wonderful pictures of Kate and Sawyer. And that's always a bonus."

one-eyed-cat "this is a beauty, the color reminds me of old daguerrotypes and although there is the city skyline clearly visible it still abstract enough to leave a lot of room for imagination, be it looking at the shapes and formations in the huge sky or the reflections on the water....an excellent piece"

cogwurx "I love the way the depth of the textures play out in this. The colors are pretty solid give it an earthy, grounded feel even though it is flying. The whimsy of the scene gives it a great atmosphere and the sense that they flyer is riding a clunker."

cogwurx "The stoic expression of the figure really stands out against the vibrancy of the brushwork and textures. The lighting is akin to that of Rembrandt as well as the heavy textures on the face. There is a mystery behind this figure that I'm intrigued by...there must be a lot of stories behind those hidden eyes."

WattsHanna "The whole series she createdare amazing, but this one got positive and negative in colors and textures feelings in to it. The black energetic colors having the strength to destroy. The black is frightning, but there is the white that is softning it up. Its even sensual and calm like a soft pillow. I can write more, but i think every one can add to it from his/her own imagination!"

SinkoSiete. "Payag" is one of the most serene impressions in his gallery. There's a subtle and authentic sense of place in most of his paintings. Same goes here. In this piece I especially love the powerful feel of soft light.
Colour surfaces are well-controlled. Brushwork is accurate yet joyfully loose. Level of detail is just right -- there's a lot to see. This is a painting that is easy to look at. I strongly encourage to download the piece. Even in ordinary full view the beauty of his brushwork doesn't show."

Yamenja "~
blind-awakening has a magical gallery. I especially enjoy his ability to create soft and beautiful light, and also the mix of realism and painterliness in every piece. I picked this image because I especially like the composition and tonal qualities as well as the off-beat choice of posture and setting."

With only a little over 100 views of the piece (about 20 of those views are from me, hehe), I think such a great piece of art is being overlooked in the deviantart community. She really captures the emotion amazingly in this painting and I think it deserves to be seen by other traditional art-lovers out there! It is beautiful."

rell121 "This is one of those pieces of artwork that can be interpreted in a million different ways. It's something you can keep staring at and finding some new hidden meaning. It also makes use of awesome technique - which is saying something when talking about hands because hands are hard to get just right)."

EuroFoxx "*
ForlornExistence's submissions never fail to amaze me, but this one just sucker punched me in the gut. There's just such a hopelessness yet tenderness about this piece, it's poignant and there's just such a contrast between the man's protective pose and the bright, hopeful colors of the wilderness around him. The statue seems to exude compassion and almost looks like she's going to reach out to stroke and comfort the one lost soul. Everything about this painting gets to me, which is another feat to be added on top of the technical mastery."

EuroFoxx "I just stumbled on *
cheetahspirit's gallery, and I have to say I'm blown away by his mastery of colored pencil. He seems to have mastered every skin tone, texture, and turn of expression possible, and I feel really inspired to learn from his work. Technical skill is one thing, but the ability to inspire someone else is an other talent all together."

I keep thinking that often the majority of talented artists are buried under the viral exibitionism of very few ones(even though this isn't the case). Anyway, I always appreciate the effort of Sbaraci to focus on real handmade artworks in this ocean of photomanipulations and digital fakes.
My best regards
