Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
A question I get asked quite often is , "How does a photographer get his or her work published in magazines and shows in galleries?" To be honest with you all I am not 100% sure of this myself just yet but my best offer of advice towards this question is that it's all in networking and promotion, and practice as much as humanly possable to get good. You have to make some seriousl intellectual and financial commetment to your photography aswell, so you put in the time and effort needed to obtain amazing and unique immages along with good equiptment. Also looking into schools like art schools and / or lessons around your area would be a good idea on your part.
Honestly going pro isnt an easy thing, that you can do in only a matter of seconds or weeks, for some it takes years of hard work and true detication.
If you are desperate to get your work out there and seen, then have a gallerie of your very own, all run and set up by you. Send subbissions into contests and magazines or local news papers, eventually someone will see your work and be like, " hey I like the persons work." It takes time so dont be exspecting fame right away.
Another thing I feel is nesicary to say is that, photography shouldent be about being popular or getting the best ratings and making tones of cash , getting famous or rich. It should be about the art , your passion, your drive, how you see the world, how you want to show the world, your creativity, and doing it for yourself and for the sake of the art. NOT TO OBTAIN Billions of dollars in cash every time you take an immage.
I've been doing photography for years and I myself still have loads to learn and alot to improve on.
To get better at it , its all about self critiqueing, being hard on yourself, and seein the immage for what it is. Look at it threw every view and perspective and then work on improving it. NOTHING has to be the best right away and nothing is the best at first, it takes modifications and loads of improvments. Also ask other photographers, friends, and family to tell you what they think so you can learn from them aswell.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
DaVinci, Picasso, Monet... these are all names I'm sure you've heard of before. They are the Masters of the art world and their talents are world renowned. But have you ever looked at their pieces and thought to yourself "I could do better" or "that would look awesome in a comic style"? Well here's your chance. How would you have painted DaVinci's Mona Lisa? Show me using only Vectors.
