Welcome to the Animals, Plants and Nature (APN) Project Educate Segment Week





The main APN Week Diary will be updated regularly as the week progresses

As part of deviantART Project Educate, each of the Art Categories is being highlighted for a week long promotion.

This week, April 14th-18th, it is time to focus on Photography > Animals, Plants and Nature, one of the largest categories on deviantART.

The Gallery Directors for the Photography > APN categories are myself, ^KevLewis, and my partner in crime ^SheTakesPics and we have being working hard to bring you interesting and educational news articles, contests and prizes which will be run all week.

With the support of the community we hope to raise the awareness of the APN categories to a new level on deviantART but we can only do this with you, the community, by our sides. To ensure you are with us we intend to bribe the hell outta you with dA goodies and we will appreciate it if you would show your support by pimping the hell out of our week on dA.

#WildnFree Chat room
The chatroom #WildnFree is open for anyone to use at any time and the Gallery Directors will endeavour to be in there as much as possible. This is the place to be if you want any of free dA goodies that we will be giving away.

We are looking for responsible deviants to act as moderators in #WildnFree to provide 24 hour cover, please note me, ^KevLewis, if you are interested in helping out.

The APN "Impact on Nature" Photographic Contest

The theme, "Impact on Nature", should suggest to you photographs illustrating our interaction with wildlife and nature both the good and bad aspects. However, it might suggest something completely different to you which we will love to see in the contest.

You are invited to enter this week long contest from now, last entries should be received by midnight (GMT) on April 18th.

To enter

1. Please note myself ^KevLewis with the subject title "APN Contest" with the :thumbXXXXX: of the deviation being entered. Your entry will be added to the Contest Journal during the week.

2. Only ONE deviation is allowed per deviant. Only photographs submitted to the Animals, Plants and Nature categories are acceptable, they can be new or existing submissions.

3. Entries received by comment will be ignored.

The Prizes

The deviations will be judged by a select panel of photographers, they just don't know it yet

1st place - a 12 month Subscription and devwear.
2nd place - a 6 month subscription
3rd place - a 3 month subscription
