Tempest Storm, on of the premier pin up models and burlesque dancers of the 1940's, 50's and 60's is still going strong at 80 years of age. The star of such films as Russ Meyer's French Peep Show (1950), Paris After Midnight (1951), Striptease Girl (1952), Irving Klaw's Teaserama, (1955) (which also featured Bettie Page!!!) is still performing burlesque striptease in Las Vegas proving that despite your age, a classy broad is still a classy broad!
No wonder everybody knows what Im going to type for another few minutes. May be, have even hit the conclusion but still I need to make sure you actually deciphered the positive side of the speech. Getting Back to the line, from where I started off.
Is there a way to predict what kinds of daily deviations will be chosen mostly on a particular time of the year? The recent "typographic art" boom where nearly every day brought a daily deviation in the category "typograhic art" made it clear to me that there is something behind it and it was obvious what it is exactly...
Do you want to know what determinates one's sense of aethetics, so you can predict what artworks will have the greatest chance to be chosen as Daily Deviations and what daily deviations suggestions are going to be most likely successful? Then read on.
March, 1st police state by *ladydawg There is a lot to see in this deviants gallery but this one was my favorite. Give the rest of her pieces a look, though, and you wont be disappointed.
March, 2nd Glowing Rain's Grave by *fondaffections Can't get over the striking resemblance between this shot and scenes from Bram Stoker's masterpiece, Dracula. This deviant has truly done a lot of work to create the right atmosphere and host Lucy into a new "victim". - madilar - Glowing Rain's Grave is just one of many wonderful images by *fondaffections that capture a classic darkness so spellbinding that you can almost hear the screams echo through the chambers of your mind.
March, 3rd Clear as the moon by ~loverope This is technically a trifecta of a Daily Deviation!
When it comes to fetish portraiture, there are often a lot of artists involved in the process of creating one image. This makes it a collaborative genre in unique ways. Clear as the moon by ~loverope is an example of ropework, where in addition to the collaboration between the model (~Amellya) and the photographer (*Helleana), you have the rope artist as well; the very element that makes it fetish imagery. This artist has worked with some really talented dA photographers and models, and this particular portrait really showcases the aesthetic side of bondage ropework. Simply stunning. Take a look at the gallery for more of these collaborative photographic endeavors.
March, 4th Winter Fox by *Nzeman "Such a beautifully clean and close photo of a fox; not an easy animal to get so close to in the first place. This definitely deserves a DD." - =Abfc "Perfect composition, Perfect sharpness, Perfect exposure. Without doubt one of the best wild shots I've seen in a long time. Please make this a print !" - ^KevLewis
March, 8th summer by ~prismopola From International Women's Day... "International Women's Day is the global day connecting all women around the world and inspiring them to achieve their full potential." In celebration of that day, I have chosen to feature a woman who exemplifies excellence in the field of photography and whose work inspires others! Known on dA as both *prismes and ~prismopola, Sophie Thouvenin adeptly shows us the world as she experiences it through her lens. This piece, from the incomparable and dynamic palette of Time-Zero film, is a photograph that I have counted among my all time favorites on deviantART since she posted it. Visit and read the interview with Sophie Thouvenin, Describing the Soul of Things!
March, 11th Vint IV by ~DeniroJeMakaron Vint IV is composed with a very special combination of fore- and backgrounds. There are actually 4 layers in this picture, have a closer look. ~DeniroJeMakaron has a criminal no. of pageviews, so visit that gallery, I promise it's worth it!
March, 12th Istanbul 6 by *EquusAhu I am not ordinarily drawn to the b/w photo with isolated color, but this one really caught my eye for its subtlety and well tempered execution. Also, the choice of red usually does play well against b/w, as it certainly does here.
March, 13th 19 by ~bluecut This is just a very striking portrait. The focus of the eyes, in combination with the prominence of the subject's freckles and other skin qualities, is what really drew me to this piece.
March, 14th Reflection of self by =blacklovelock Reflection of self by =blacklovelock Is a great picture with stunning detail , colors and a perfect composition. This idea has been done so many times but hardly ever executed so well. With macro pictures of eyes all over the place, this one stands out with perfection and deserves all the attention. Awesome work , thanks for sharing !
March, 15th Twisted Freedom by *Na-TuraL Twisted Freedom by *Na-TuraL is surely one of the most impressive and original manipulations I've seen in a while. Everything is seemless, and the details of the little people on the sea bottom makes this visual ladden with story and mystery.
March, 16th Triumph by =Alis86 Awash in both brights and pastels, Triumph by =Alis86 is filled with texture and exuberant, abstract energy. Surprisingly, it also succeeds in retaining a fresh springtime lightheartedness that makes it a fractal triumph, to be sure!
March, 17th Smoking Creature - Marco Menco by ~drummer00 I don't what's more frightening, the hideous character or the amazing amount of realism he possesses. Enjoy Smoking Creature - Marco Menco by ~drummer00
March, 18th Wallpaper Herr Hildezart heart by =hoschie Wallpaper Herr Hildezart heart by =hoschie is a wonderfully cute wallpaper. The combination of pink polka dots , the sweet little hamster enjoying the candies surely makes you smile!
March, 19th Peace by =FreakyBabe Peace by =FreakyBabe beautiful light textures to set the mood and a fantasy wallpaper really is a delight on your desktop. Checkout *FreakyBabe's amazing gallery for more arty goodness
March, 20th No smoking by *fb101 The right focus makes the image a classic. I like the way she is holding the cigar. The attitude is perfect, almost like she is saying "go away why are you bothering me". - ParvezAnsari. and me? I always loved this picture!!!
March, 21th Frozen elephants by ~montiljo Frozen elephants by ~montiljo shows that the dreams and imagination of the artist have no bounds. ~montiljo's surreal landscapes grab the viewer's attention, and one just gets lost in them, allowing the thoughts to flow, move and meld same way the painting itself does
March, 22th Into Matter by ~Nickmeister " Into Matter by ~Nickmeister is a wonderful abstract that's easy on the eyes and simply amazing to look at. The wonderful detail, the smoothness of it's complexity and it's cold color scheme...what's not worth looking at ?
March, 23th The Venture by *o-BlueMoon-o A wonderful and nicely composed photograph. The focus is very good and the colors are rich and pretty. Nice work, thanks for sharing !
March, 24th Mashed Metal by *janetino With an array of differing patterns, textures and mixed metallic colors, Mashed Metal by *janetino looks like a macro shot of a painstaking and beautifully worked metal sculpture. This stunning piece begs the question... Is that really a fractal?!
March, 25th DustyDream by ~Brother-of-suffer The suggester writes, "Absolutely beautiful and full of cinematic feel. I love the depth and distance shown by the fading trees in the fog and trainline. The atmosphere created is tranquilizing."
March, 26th Minas Tirith of Civilization by =mmenathalie Minas Tirith of Civilization by =mmenathalie is an original landscape manipulation that combines the ancient with the futuristic; perhaps a post apocalyptic visual where the new age buries the old, or even the extinction of both.
March, 27th The Sand Castle by ~artsgr1e The Sand Castle by ~artsgr1e is a wonderfully innovative piece that combines a child's imagination , the expertise of a master sculptor and the wonderful possibilities that 3D art may yield ! Take a minute or two to soak in the impeccable details of this masterpiece !
March, 28th ipsum by ~3tx In addition to being a well crafted photomanipulation, ipsum by ~3tx is a highly creative and original interpretation of a well recognizable stock image. Truly refreshing!
March, 29th Infection by *valkirye This piece plays with the idea of infection and concealment. By presenting us with images of the symptoms then we are able to understand why this person is shying away from us. But we also see how we represent ourselves through our eyes.
March, 30th Mermaid's Eye by *Pinkmango77 A wonderful photo with great detail and light. The beautiful colors really make it look like a mermaid's eye. Nice work, thanks for sharing !
And also I have got a DD on March, 21th Seagulls by =imurpurpose Comment by ~purple-purple "This deviation really looks amazing. Composition and colors are perfect."
-- Every day we should hear at least one little song, read one good poem, see one exquisite picture, and, if possible, speak a few sensible words. / Goethe /
I can't believe so many artists dedicate their efforts and time to create authentic works of art for us to USE freely! In the world of 3D stocks [ most of it unknown to the photomanipulators ] you can find truly inspiring fantasy and surreal elements that could never be captured by a regular camera. And the best part is that most of them come in a transparent background, so we can simply click and drag onto our work. How fun, fast and easy is that?
A former volunteer with the Artist Relations team, `kuschelirmel has always been a wonderful role model within the community.
With a vibrant and eclectic gallery that would make anyone proud, her dedication to providing informative and easy to follow tutorials, journal CSS, and inspirational stock is clearly long overdue for recognition.
