A big part in DA life play different clubs and communities. They are a place of gather of a number of artists with a common interest where they can submit and share artwork with people who have similar focus. There are a number of clubs for traditional artists where they can get involved in, that organise a range of activities for their members, artist features and contests.

One of such awesome clubs is that have been one of pillars of traditional community since I started on DeviantArt 4 years ago. The club has helped me discover some amazing artists and their art, as well as provided me with a range of amazing imaginative contests that one could participate.

*painters was founded 4 years ago by *paradegritar with the intention of offering a place of exposure for all the traditional painters on deviantart. The whole point of creating a painters community, was to gather all those that appreciate paintings to watch each other, comment and critic each other's work, as well as to participate together in community activities like Painting Contests. Nowadays *painters it's run by `arwenita and has the spiritual guiding of `alchemism

*painters has over 1500 members, making it one of the bigger -if not the biggest- traditional artists club here in deviantArt. The club's gallery, that collects thousands of works from its members, regardless of skill level, shows the variety of styles and mediums preferences they have.

One thing you can't miss about *painters is it's Featured Artists. Every once and then *painters shares with its members some amazing new traditional artists with a selection of their works.
