Good post! Read the article..sounds promising. I, for one, wish those gimp designers would spend some time debugging the 2.4 version so it functions better with Windows Vista. I know some aren't having many problems, but me and a bunch of others are crashing so frequently we're losing half our work! Pretty funny, actually...crashes about every 12 commands on average, I figured out. Sheesh. Well, for freeware you can't beat it, anyway.

Wanted to ask if you're using 2.4? If so, are you having issues with the "brush" folder? I've got a ton of abr brushes, as well as some gimp brushes in there (prob about 50 sets total). Its about 1/5 of the brushes I used to keep in photoshop, but still having major probs with loading (taking forever, often crashing during loading), and speed within gimp with the brushes I've got in there. Can't find ANYWHERE that has the Mb "limit" for functioning optimally for the brush file. Tried taking a bunch of em out, and doesn't make a difference.

If you or anyone else are having prob like this...or the issues w vista compatibility, I'd love to know about it.

Thanks so much! And thanks for keeping us posted on Gimp!
