Last fall, Sara Baker AKA was in a terrible car accident. She had a stroke from the trauma, which resulted in a blood clot that left her 'locked in,' a condition in which her mind is fully alert and functional, but her brain cannot communicate with the voluntary muscles of her body other than her eyes.

Many of her online and DA friends are just now finding out why Sara has been gone so long. We were shocked to find out what had happened, but happy to know she is alive. Her family has posted a blog to update friends and loved ones of her progress. Through this blog, we've learned that Sara has regained some control of her arms, some grip, and has been able to move her toes.

To show our support for our friend, we've started a community effort to raise money for the Trust Fund set up in her name. The money from this fund goes towards her enormous medical expenses as she continues to fight towards recovery. She's already made progress beyond what the doctors had told her she could do and she's not giving up!

I am personally taking character commissions to raise money for the Fund. I am also auctioning off some Sailor Moon related artwork on eBay. More information can be found in my journal: [link] I will be updating my journal with more information as it's available.
