Alright, welcome to another edition of Mini-DDs...The sweet little buffet of DD-worthy artwork where we aim to bring you the most scrumptious dishes possible!

Okay, first off, time for another reminder that the Mini-DDs second anniversary is in just over two weeks away, & I'm looking for some neat ways to celebrate it. So if you've got any ideas, no matter how insane they may be, now's the time to shout 'em out.

Also, The World Ends With You contest that I've been promoting (kind of) heavily here ends Tuesday, so if you want a chance to squeeze out an entry for it, better hurry fast. besides, we can always use more kickass original characters floating around here...

But as one fun gaming contest is ending, it looks like another begins...This time with an Okami contest! Once again, the rules are slightly vague (is it fan art of the game drawn in the game's style or just any fine example of the paintbrushed style that they're looking for?), but it still looks like it'll lead to another crop of truly fine artwork, so if you're looking to show off your skills (& score a Wii), give it a shot!

And lastly, there's *TheColosseum...Which I don't really know squat about except that it appears to be some sort of character tournament. But if Endzone was any indication, this should hopefully result in a fine gathering of creative OCs as well, so it sounds like it's definitely worth mentioning! Besides, the almighty fine Ozilla has signed up, so that's a good sign...

Henry by *MikePMitchell...Sweet mother of magic 8-balls, what isn't there to love about this stunning piece of sci-fi?? Amazing & story, clever & well-designed characters, excellent amount of detail right down to the setting, great colors, perfect post-apocalyptic mood, nice style...Oh man, I could go on & on here. The whole thing is just truly...Wow. Just wow. Fave it. Don't ask, just do it.



The World Ends With You contest here has yielded some truly amazing character designs, with a lot worthy of the grand prize...& WEWY Villain: Dice by *Geofffffff is hands-down a first-tier contender. Great style, great coloring, great amount of planning poured into this guy, & all the cool little touches right down to the personification of Lady Luck...All of it adds up to one truly wicked villain design. Bravo & good luck!



=chobi just went ahead & freaking blew my mind with The Appetite of Big Bust, a gloriously twisted, whacked-out, & surreal piece of work with a unique concept/story behind it, backed up with a unique mix of colors, a great amount of detail, & a glorious blend of psychedlic & creepy moods. If this doesn't blow you away as well, then there is just seriously something wrong with you.



A cool little tribute (pun not intended) to one of Nintendo's classic villains, King Dedede in Iceberg by ~Evanatt definitely does the big penguin guy justice. Everything here is just pulled off perfectly, from the pose & expression to the style to the setting to the icy colors to the amount of detail right down to the strokes in the feathers...Truly an impressive sight to behold, & one worthy of so many damn "to the" moments.



You always gotta love a sweet cartoon action scene, & Invasion by `Mrcrapinson definitely pays off in that area. The multitude of fun, cool, & colorful characters all striking dynamic poses, scattered about in a gloriously random, bright, & cool setting, all drawn so amazingly well in an attractive style...It's all just so damn truly stunning. Plus, skeleton pirates rock. It's a fact.

Simply put, our little animal-thingy-buddy inlookit the green shiny 8O by ~CoconutMilkyway isn't the only one being hypnotized by something beautiful here. That creative, cool, & dark creature design alongside that perfectly pulled-off glow effect topped off with that lovable expression & several simple yet cool little touches...It's truly some sheer wonder, dammit.



Sweet Addiction by ~SerugioSan...Because you try resisting a living blob of yummy gelatin. Even if it is evil. The concept here is simple & cool, & the style & colors are all impressive as well...But it's the little things here that really sell this beauty, from the little translucence of the blob to the neon-splattered background & the jellybean fingers. The whole mix of it all makes for one truly delicious dessert indeed.



I always love it when mere sketchbook doodles end up becoming some of the most stunning art we have here. Take x chained. x by =atmosblue, for example. A gloriously random, funky, & wild drawing that could have only come out of some random doodling, enhanced with a unique mix of colors, a nice amount of detail, & even a great little background pattern. Plus, demon owls. Gotta love that.



Alright, I may not know the full story behind UpperPlayground WALRU$ by *phayce (or if there even is a story), but what I do know is that it's one truly wicked drawing. That lovably greedy feeling & expression, that attractive, semi-cartoonish style, the perfect use of drab colors, the great attention to detail...This walrus may look like a bastard, but you just gotta love him.
