Phoenix-22's Features:

"City on Fire" by `
Platinus may be a similar looking fractal to what can be seen in a few different galleries of Apophysis users, but as always, Platinus takes it a step above the rest with this piece. Created without the use of any scripts, this piece not only reflects that artist's knowledge of the program, but it also shows that the artist can put far more user-input into turning the fractal from a good piece to a masterpiece. With stunning textural patterns and Escher-like repetition, this is certainly a fractal masterpiece.

Personal Pick:
The first thing that strikes me about this piece is the idea of smoke. Impenetrable, translucent, and mystifying, this is clearly the high point in this piece (to me, anyways). The colors also add to the mood. Check this one out.

DragonWinter's Features:

Submanitutonka Neghri by ~
the-panpiper is an incredible piece, that shows the versatility of Apophysis and the dedication and patience of an up and coming artist. Apo allows you to come up with some pretty great things with just a tweak here and there or a script now and then, but sometimes placing everything by hand a little at a time rewards you with something totally terrific. Strictly, technically a fractal? No. Awesome art created with an awesome program? Oh yeah!

rubikscubefreak's Features:

Arabesque by *
TearsAndThunderGreen: the most challenging color to get right in Apophysis (in my opinion, of course). Not only does *
TearsAndThunder show an amazing control over color in Arabesque, the composition exhibits both skill in Apophysis as well as general knowledge on how to arrange a fractal to create a true work of art. Bravo.

I know Max is on hiatus, Tom doesn't do it anymore...I bet Dave and Travis are busy with their Random Contest.
