Welcome to the Premier issue of the "Devious Exposure Squad", where your community peers have all chipped in their time and effort to find you new friends, great desktop art, and star-studded potentials in the Wallpaper Gallery!

But before we get started, please take a moment to learn just a little about the DES and what our goals are for the future of this project.

What is the D.E.S?

The Devious Exposure Squad is a public taskforce consisting of 50 community members, each honorarily Deputized by ^allhopeislost, who have volunteered to compose a major News Article twice a month. The purpose of the DES is to help provide awareness, exposure, and encouragement of those deviants who are New, Virtually Unknown, and are Talented Potentials within the Wallpaper Community to their peers, and of course, the entirety of deviantART.

The Squad is the brainchild of Wallpaper Gallery Directors ^allhopeislost and ^archanN, and brought to life under the full command of :allhopeislost:. Both directors are proud to see the WP Community's invigorating commitment to show off their 'Finds' and expose newly discovered WP artists to one and all.

So without further ado, let's see who's in the spotlight and meet the Community Deputies who brought them to you!

The wallpaper by ~UnixRoot is really made awesome by the glacial terrain we see from, gazing into a starfield and a dark mysterious planet.

~byadrian made an interesting surrealistic wallpaper that I like. Albeit, I do think the color scheme could be more influenced throughout the wallpaper, what made me love it was the beam coming out from the planet.

Restart by ~Kaos-Lorenz has a wonderful color scheme and great contrast via the planet. I would advise, however, that the focal point be more condensed, and to leave more negative space in the image."</sup>

~Gravelcore is my second artist selection. He has been a deviant since Nov. 2005 but has under 800 pageviews.
His latest deviation show much potential. It reminds me about when I attempted my "sun" themed wallpaper pack. His looks much better than mine does by the way.

I don't know that I've ever seen a better blend of abstract 3D work and mottled cool-color gradients [Ed. I think Refinery, by ~Pintoro, is cool as hell personally, and the guy doesn't have near enough pageviews for someone who's been here for ages and has such neat stuff in his gallery!

1. I enjoy that particular wallpaper because it's so mellow and warm, but not void of color and things to look at. The artist did a fantastic job at capturing it.

2. How fun! The colors are vibrant and lively with a sort of modern look, and I love the pose of the frog as it's hunting the fly.

3. I really liked this one, and used it for my wallpaper as well. It's beautiful and whimsical both, and comes with a lot of pre-sized wallpapers, so it's easy to find one that fits your screen.

4. I've used this one as well, before the DES was created. It's beautifully composed - I love how it shows you how small a person is in comparison to the cosmos, or the rest of the world.
