Today's article may come as a bit of a surprise, given that the club posted one yesterday. Nevertheless, here's another one. Please let me advise that faving this news article will increase the chances of it being seen, and therefore increase the chances of the deviations within it being seen. I (~mrjans) contributed all of these deviations, so I hope you enjoy.
After a fun and successful devmeet organised by the wonderful `Faerie-Princess-Ami, it was discussed in the pub over a beer by some deviantArt members that we should have our own group.
This is our first news article, featuring NE related art by our members and details of our group!
The club has enough new additions in its collections to be able to post another news article. Please bear in mind that faving the news article increases the opportunity of it been seen, and therefore increases the opportunity of the featured works being seen. Info from Wikipedia:about the Lister Block building
The Lister Block, first built in 1886, was destroyed by fire in 1923 and the second building was erected in 1924. This Classic Renaissance building is 32,000 square feet with Six floors and sits on the corner of James and King William Street. The original building built in 1886 only had Four floors. It was the first indoor commercial mall in Canada[10] and is currently owned by LIUNA- Laborers' International Union of North America. The building one time was also home for the local Oldies 1150 CKOC radio station which has been on the air since May 1, 1922 and as of the year 2000 is the oldest radio station in English Canada, second oldest overall.
The Lister Block is named for Joseph Lister, the original owner, who was a merchant, clothier, member of the city's Board of Water Commissioners and school trustee. His goal was to build a "most modern and central accommodation" for small merchants at modest rent.
It was the center of community life in Hamilton for much of the last century. It was built with excellent materials and workmanship during prosperous times in the city before stock markets crashed in 1929. One of the few buildings of its type in Ontario west of Toronto. Its style is more frequently seen in American Great Lakes cities Video of two story's about the Lister Block can be found here
Very interesting, may I be the first to thank you for sharing..I happen to be fascinated with old architecture. I have a favorite story about The Colosseum in Chicago, looked like a medieval castle. Cream and The Mothers of Invention were one of the last concerts before demolition. I was in the first row with my girlfriend. Lucky Moondoggy!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
