These portraits are not to be missed. A special feature of some wonderfully unique portraits, some with under 20 favorites, most with under 100, all under 1000.
From the Publishers of "What Digital Camera" and "Amateur Photographer", IPC Media today has announced a new online photography magazine, "Better Digital Photography" that people can read free and fully online, it is also interactive with embedding video tutorials from the magazine and mouse-over tips. Aimed at the entry and intermediate level photographer, it is heavily devoted to equipment and technique-focused photography content.
From the IPC Media website: Publishing director Alex Robb says: This is an exciting and innovative new venture for the photo portfolio. The editorial team have worked incredibly hard to create bespoke content, including technique videos and other interactive content. I am delighted that we have secured distribution to around two million photographers to ensure that as many people as possible benefit from the excellent tips and advice. Better Digital Photography is a further indication of how IPC continues to innovate in this competitive sector.
Editor Mat Gallagher adds: We wanted to create a product that helps the reader expand their knowledge, while being easy to use. It is thanks to the talents of art editor Steve Crabb that we have managed to produce such a visually stimulating and accessible magazine that surpasses anything else in the market place.
My thoughts, this is downright awesome and VERY well done, it is like looking at an actual magazine, but the fact that it has videos embedded within for tips, tutorials, and techniques, make this even better! You can also subscribe for free, via email for upcoming issues, make personal notes within the magazine, and download a copy to your hard drive. GO GET IT!
I don't have much to say other than what is in the link. I don't know why my art can be deleted an other's cannot. I don't know why if it is my work DA staff members feel it can be deleted without even contacting me.
Im so sorry to hear that I dont know why they did it I like your work

They're like big brother in Orwell's famed novel my friend. They've messed with my gallery in the past as well. It's like McDonald's. If you dont like the place you dont have to work there. BS if you ask me as we support the joint. Not sure what else we can do besides raise our voices.

It is a puzzling mystery, this is supposed to be a place where we can all share our work..and support one another. Those generated messages obviously were made to help the dA Admin's job..but they need to be contacted...any other ways to get ahold of them besides Help Desk? I'm not sure...
As I said on my comment in the journal, I will look into the matter from a supporter/community standpoint..not sure how far I will get. I seem to run into drama everywhere I turn..it is just the blood lust of humanity anymore.
Another thought..did you look into the surrounding facts of the art they deleted? Maybe there is a "mole" somewhere..Don't like to be the devils advocate..but I smell a fish..
Hope we get to the bottom of something... no worries though...TVD lives in all of us..we don't have to have it up online for it to live..although we do all enjoy it and it's nice to just live and let live...
I have found that it is not only me who deals with this situation.
I think this is a case where DA needs to revise their deletion policy and actually send a message to the account owner before taking such drastic measures.
This will avoid a lot less headache for DA in the future and a lot less deviants who want to delete their accounts.
I think this is a perfect issue to bring to the attention of DA.
Deleting work is not a light subject.
There has to be more measures taken before such actions can be attempted.
I consider this an outrage to not notify or further research the material before it is removed without consequence.
If this is the way policies are then why can't it be addressed if there is a large percentage of the community who disagree with it?
~Until then D.

I sent a note to the two admin's I thought would be best for looking into this matter, with a copy of your journal link. It could be that they hadn't even looked into what they had done. We all know how wonderful our internetland can be...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Project Comment is a project that features the generally obscured and underappreciated artists and their art in regular news articles. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
The 0-5 Comments Issues feature a deviant as well as 3 deviations with less than 5 original comments from a wide selection of art. Please give your time to this article and to write constructive comments so that you make a true difference to the artists featured here.
