Thanks to Chris Weeks for reminding me I was sitting on these links, with his blog on UBER.com
There is a new poster campaign in London aimed at 'our kind' and by our kind i mean Street Photographers. I have compiled a few articles regarding the new involvment by metropolitan Police.
•Street photographers fear for their art amid climate of suspicion
•Stop the aperture closing on street photography
•Innocent photographer or terrorist?
•Photography rights raised at MP event
•You can't picture this - Video
•Police defend anti-terror photo campaign
•Photographic Rights, and the law
As it says in one of the articles,
"A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police said the campaign is not intended to target photographers, amateur or professional.
She told us: 'It's part of a counter-terrorism campaign and one element is the camera element.'
Discuss.. What do you think of these ridiculous laws and harassments?
If you are a British Citizen, SIGN the PETITION and show the PM that photographers will not take this laying down!
