Craftcycle is a new club for artists and crafters who reuse a wide variety of things to make new art and crafts. By this I mean recycling, like using Flea Market items to make collages or sculpture or using recyclable stuff like plastic bottles or cans to make art or crafts. Sort of like what crafters do a lot of anyway

I wanted to start this club to promote a 'reuse or recycle' state of mind and promote regular recycling. And also to have fun and share fun crafts and friendships. People who sell their crafts or art on ebay or Etsy are welcome also.

The club is having its first contest to promote itself and we have prizes

The Contest:

I recently became aware of how many plastic soda bottles I use so this is your contest: Make a craft or art piece using plastic soda bottles and whatever other materials. The bottle, or bottles, should be a signifigant part of the piece but you can use other stuff also to complete your work.

The contest starts NOW and all entries should be completed and submitted by June 3rd, 2008. Voting begins June 4th, 2008 and will last a week or two.

The Rules of the club are just the basics: be nice and supportive of eachother and be creative. This is my first club so be nice to me and I will do my best.
