Well, I have been promising this for ages now, and finally I buckled down and did it. So LISTEN UP!!!

There are thousands of artists here, if not a million, but how many of them get the attention they deserve? 40, 20, 12 percent? Well, we will never really know, will we? But I wanted to draw attention to what it means to get a comment if you barely have anyone to look at your work. You nearly want to jump up and down with joy if someone appreciated your hard work. I know it, because I’ve been there. Now I want others to realize how attention encourages art.

I know many talented people who stopped working on their art because they didn’t think they were good enough because no one really told them that they were. I know some that quit because no one ever saw most of their work. So they just stopped seeing a point in working on something that the world will never see nor appreciate. Without attention and feedback, people loose motivation. And as an art COMMUNITY I think we shouldn’t let this happen. We need to seek out those who are too good to be forgotten.

I am hoping to make this a weekly/monthly article (hence it is a project) drawing attention to artists who didn’t get the spotlight they deserve, so if you know someone who is by far unappreciated considering his/her talents and abilities, write his/her username in the comment here.
