This is not about boycotting him.
This is about providing information as there is a LOT of propaganda relating to this incident, most of it having no basis.

Life is but a candle flickering in the wind
Yeah, fuck awareness about the tons of stray dogs that die of starvation on their own ALL THE TIME.
Hell, even the article acknowledges it.
Were currently investigating the incident, and Ill update this blog if we get more information. In the meantime, whether Vargas intended it or not, this whole thing does provide an insight into human nature that will be worth considering once were able to look at the big picture: If we can muster up this degree of outrage about one incident of animal suffering, why are we any less horrified by the billions upon billions of similar or worse cases of abuse that we can personally help to prevent?
That was pretty much exactly the message that guy's "art" was trying to communicate, wasn't it?
I think this part is the most telling: [link]
Vargas, 32, said he wanted to test the public's reaction, and insisted none of the exhibition visitors intervened to stop the animal's suffering.
A lot of talking, but not a lot of acting. I'm not sure I agree on an ethical level, but on logic and art, I think he was very successful on communicating an idea.
Also LOL PETA.

PETA is crazy, and uses propaganda like no other I think the only sane thing I've ever heard from them is supporting embryotic stem-cell research and in vitro cell research. After all, that'd probably cut down on animal testing quite a bit.
Ethical treatment of animals is very important, but PETA is just way too soiled with hypocrisy to be taken seriously. There are so many other animal rights groups out there that are way better. :\

Just trying to clear up some of the exaggerated myths on the web at the moment.
Seems I accidently lumped this "article" in with the other thousands of angry 17-year-old animal rights "activists." I apologize.

I really like this article myself.
