"Gorotsuki Ryu" original character contest

I am creating my own manga series called "Gorotsuki Ryu" which is about a Japanese terrorist organization of the same name. (It's a fiction organization just in case you were wondering.) The manga hasn't been published yet but it has a pretty good storyline and I'm pretty close to getting it submitted. I'm confident it will get accepted and published when I do submit it. Anywho the contest as I said before is too see who can draw one of my characters the best. There is no prize but if you're good enough I'll consider you as my artist (which is the main point of this contest.) However I can't promise you that position for several obvious reasons 1. I might not get my comic published or it might be a while before my comic is published 2. you may only be able to draw somethings but not other things. and etc
But to be fair I'll at the very least subscribe to your deviant art page and favourite all of your deviations (including scraps) even if they are pieces of crap. Here are the rules to the contest.


You can draw the characters in whatever style you want. However the characters must retain the basic features each one has (I'll explain those in a bit.) It does not matter what medium you use just remember I'm looking for realistic non-mainstream manga style drawings.
You can still draw the characters as if they were chibi or whatever but your chances of winning are going to go down unless every other person submitting a drawing draws a piece of crap. It doesn't matter if you get you or a friend to draw the drawing but if you do tell me your friend drew the picture. The drawing does not have to be colored but depending on whether or not it is colored well can affect if your submitted drawing is ranked better or not. (By the way I am judging all the drawings). Also if you feel you want to make a change in the character feel free to do so but the closer you get to making it look like the original character (but better) the better your chances of winning are.

Sorry the drawings are not so great but then again that's the point of this contest. A description of each character and how they are suppose to look will be written underneath their names, following that are the links to the attempted drawings of that character I have done.


Yazuki Ching
Yazuki is the protagonist of the manga. He's 13 years old and he's already been to prison for vandalism. Yazuki is smarter than he looks but acts incredibly rash. (for more information on each character just ask me) Yazuki was born in Japan but is also half chinese (his father was born in China) Yazuki is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs a lean (but muscular) 105 to 110 pounds. Yazuki's hair looks most like the character Yoshitaka Waya from Hikaru No Go. Yazuki isn't a very cheery fellow so he often has a very callous look in his eyes. Also he's the kind of guy who stays up all night when things are bothering him and in the comic things are ALWAYS bothering him. Yazuki doesn't take a lot of effort in picking out his attire and he isn't too hygenic either (he hates combing his own hair)Here are some reference pics:

Noburo Ching
Noburo Ching is Yazuki younger brother (Noburo is 12 years old) and he's also the co-star of the manga. Unlike Yazuki, Noburo does well in school (mostly thanks to the fact that he has an IQ of 190) but just like his older brother he hates school and finds it boring. Noburo prefers to use his smarts in more practical ways. Noburo is also Japanese by birth and half chinese because of his father. Noburo is 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. Noburo has short spiky hair not unlike the kind that Monkey D. Luffy has. Noburo wears glasses because he is far-sighted but he hates wearing them. Noburo is often mistakenly thought to be several years older than what he really is both because of how he acts and how he looks. Noburo is usually pretty serious but he can have fun too.
Noburo dresses a little bit better than his older brother but doesn't overdress like some kind of prep.

Hideki Saoyomo
Hideki is a supporting character in the series. Hideki is 16 years old and has recently quit school. Hideki is around the same height and weight as Noburo. Hideki looks like some kind of punk but he's actually rather clever. He's also a video game fanatic.
Hideki has a short spiky hair like Noburo's but it "slicks" back more.
Hideki has several piercings on the left side of his face. He has two piercing on his ear, one on his eyebrow, and one on his bottom lip. Each piercing is a small chain hanging from the piercing attached to a mini shuriken. Since Hideki plays way too many video games he probably looks like he hasn't slept in days.

Kazuo Oda (bonus points if you draw him)
Kazuo Oda is an 18 year college freshman who is suspected of being the ring leader of the Gorotsuki Ryu terrorist organization. Kazuo is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150-160 pounds (normal weight) Kazuo is Japanese. Kazuo's hair looks like Eikiichi Onizuka's from GTO except with it being dyed blond. Kazuo smokes and drinks coffee. He dresses formally most of the time.
