New Fractalists of the Month Features30 April 2008
Vol. 1, Issue 4Welcome to the fourth issue of
New Fractalists of the Month! The Female New Fractalist of the Month: ~CopperKid07Introducing our female new fractalist of the month, CopperKid07! She is named after a character in a Raconteurs' music video, and submitted her first ever fractal only last month. She has already shown that her work is astonishing.
When asked how she got round to doing fractals, she said:
"My brother is =
deadlyMETAL, and he introduced them to me. Until then, I just thought they were the pretty posters that they'd put up in the Advanced Algebra and Calculus classes!"
She also loves music. It even inspires her fractals:
"I'm a musician and a die hard music lover. It's music, if not that then some nostalgic memories of my childhood daydreams. I like to revisit those every once in a while. I'm also a Romantic daydreamer, too, so you get those in there as well."
She also told us what to look out for in her gallery in the future.
"I like to keep things simple for the time-being. Eventually you'll be seeing more filigree- and vintage-inspired fractals, since I've always wanted to begin that visual theme. I'm a huge fan of historical-inspired fashions and artwork, as well as stained-glass and gothic-cathedral-architectural-esque type of styles."

Here is a sample of one of her best pieces.
Bubble Pop ElectricThe Male New Fractalist of the Month: *ccdigitalfxIntroducing our male new fractalist of the month, ccdigitalfx! Like CopperKid, he is American, and although he has only been on dA since February, he has submitted some seriously good fractals to the public.
Here is an extract of a dAMN interview taken earlier this month by =
Rhienel.
=Rhienel: Whose work do you admire?
*ccdigitalfx: There's so many people I admire on dA it's hard to pick just one. If I had to pick I would say ~
Meckie *
n8iveattitude1 and *
CabinTom.
=Rhienel: Who or what inspires your art?
*ccdigitalfx: I get inspired by fractals that look like real things.
=Rhienel: How do you come up with names for your fractals?
*ccdigitalfx: I kinda name the fractals so as to not bias ones opinion when they view them, so I don't impose a certain view on someone, they get the first impression on their own.
=Rhienel: If you could change the world, be it the fractal world, or the real world (you pick) what would you do, and how would you do it?
*ccdigitalfx: I suppose this is where I would be expected to say something inspirational, to end world hunger or something like that, but I am more of a literal type of person. I would have to say I'd make the politicians live on the same money us common folks have to...things would be a lot different.
=Rhienel: What else would you like the fractal community to kow about you?
*ccdigitalfx: I would just like to say to my two high school art teachers,

He is the piece we're featuring from *
ccdigitalfx's gallery.
Mind-Bending DimensionThat's it for this fourth issue! I hope all of you enjoy reading a little bit on a couple of our newest fractalists here on deviantART. Please welcome ~
