Free Lunch Comics Announces Plans for
Free Comic Book Day!

GRANBY, CT: For the past 7 years, thousands of comic book stores worldwide celebrate one of the most sacred days in the comic book industry – Free Comic Book Day! For the first time ever, creators from Free Lunch Comics will be in multiple locations across the country, in honor of the special day, to be held on Saturday May 3rd.

Free Comic Book Day is a day when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their stores. It is an honor for Free Lunch Comics to announce the events and locations where fans can meet the writers and artists responsible for their extensive line of books.

 Matt Ryan, President of Free Lunch Comics and creator of the popular romantic comedy series, Bigger, will be appearing at Larry’s World of Comics (www.larryscomics.net), located in Lowell MA. Joining him will be “good girl” artist Norman Katz.
 Steve Kanaras, Publisher and Creator of Only in Whispers, along with FLC Creative Director, Steve Kuster will be on hand at Most Excellent Comics and Collectibles in Enfield Square (shopenfieldmall.com), Enfield, CT.
 Shawnti Therrien, creator and artist of the soon-to-be released tale Am I Immortal will be at Sarge’s Comics (www.sargescomics.com) in New London, CT.
 Everett Soares, creator of Sky Pirates of Valendor, and Susan Soares, FLC Promotions Coordinator, will be at Stillpoint Comics (www.stillpointcomics.com) in Fall River, MA and will be hosting a Comic Workshop from 5 to 7 pm at the store.
 Penciler for Sky Pirates of Valendor, Brian Brinlee will be joining over 50 fellow artists at CAPE! 4 (www.capeday.com) in Dallas, TX.
 Michael W. Kellar, inker of Sky Pirates of Valendor, will be joining the staff of Comic Monstore (comicmonstore.com) in Salisbury, NC as they celebrate Free Comic Book Day and their 5th Anniversary.

Fans of Free Lunch Comics are invited to attend one of these great parties on Free Comic Book Day, May 3rd, 2008. Each creator will have an assortment of Free Lunch titles available for sale along will some exciting giveaways.

Under the direction of Ryan as President, Kanaras as Publisher and Kuster as Creative Director, Free Lunch Comics (www.freelunchcomics.com) has been publishing quality books for over 10 years. They have recently expanded their line of creator-owned titles, including a comedy entitled Pork N’ Beans, the horror anthology Only in Whispers, gothic horror masterpiece Am I Immortal, the high-flying adventure Sky Pirates of Valendor and most recently the collection of comic strip art in The Original Nutty Funsters: A List of Grievances.. Several other projects are in negotiations. Free Lunch Comics has expanded in order to diversify their offerings and provide entertaining books for readers of all interests.
