Mother's Day - The Art of Giving



Mother's Day, which is traditionally celebrated in the United States on the second Sunday in May, this year falls on the 11th of May. It's a day to embrace motherhood and all the positive ways which mothers contribute to society.


As part of our Mother's Day celebrations here at deviantART, we are delighted to launch our Art of Giving contest, which invites you to submit artwork exclusively designed with Mother's Day in mind. Many of you will remember as a child enthusiastically presenting your finger paintings and stick figure drawings to your Mother, which were displayed with pride throughout the home. This is the perfect opportunity for you to continue gifting memories as a quality piece of art, perhaps as a framed print, a beautiful canvas, a puzzle, magnet or matching mug and coaster.


Guidelines:

Your entry must be an original entry, specifically designed for The Art of Giving Contest.
Your entry must be available for sale in our print store, and meet with the appropriate submission guidelines.

The contest is open to all genres, including literature -- and we would particularly like to draw your attention to the *PrintsForLit account, which has many print ready templates designed specifically with writers in mind. Please note that literature entries will be judged on literary content.


How to Submit

Your entries should be submitted to The Art of Giving Contest category, ( Contests & Projects > Contests > 2008 > The Art of Giving. The contest is open now and will close on Monday 19th May.
