Tired of manly warriors with REALLY BIG swords, bloody battle fields, and deadly moves?

Then Toy Kingdom is the contest for you!

As any other Original Character contest, you design a character, you audition and, if you get to the eliminatory, you have to fight your way to the top.

The twist here is that there are no deadly weapons involved. And you are shrunk. See? If your "new" weapons don't kill your opponents, you can still use your chibified cuteness to knock them out.

THE STORY
One beautiful sunny day, an INSANE MANIAC(tm) decided to take a bunch of people, shrink them and throw them into a house. It's a normal house, but, as our contestants are now 1/15th of their normal sizes, it look huge and will, therefore, be known as the GIANT HOUSE.

Why did the Insane Maniac do this? Who knows, she's insane, so who cares anyway?


THE GAME RULES
No real weapons!
Yes, you've heard me!
No real or deadly weapons or modifications of them! Meaning, you can't use swords, clubs, guns, etc, and derivatives.
You can, however, use any other objects, like house appliances, frying pans, pencils, brushes, toys, megaphones, umbrellas, your younger siblings... (ok, maybe not younger sibs).

Toy guns are not allowed.
Yes, they are completely harmless, but it wouldn't be fair to open an exception here. They look like a real weapon, so they can't be used. Sorry!
Same goes to all other real-weapon-looking things!

No killing!
Knocking out, sending you opponents to outer space, etc, is ok, but NO DEATHS. We're all about humour here.... but not dark crude humour.

Be funny!
Fun is the most important thing. Then comes style, drawing and action.


CHARACTER CREATION RULES
Any race, any place, any time. They'll get shrunk and thrown into a house by some maniac anyway, so who cares?!

Only one character per person!

And they have to be original.
Meaning you can't enter Son Goku in this. :/ Toriyama beat you to it.

WOW! Any character? Any race? Anything? Does that mean any powers I want too?
Yes! Well, I admit, there are some limitations. If you have teleport powers, you can't run away from battle or escape the house. If psychic is more of your style, you can't mind-control people. Feel free, however, to use your psychic powers to throw flying objects without even touching them.

Have this in mind, though: the more you power yourself up, the less impressive any victory you have via Godmodding is. So, by giving your character lots of super crazy cool powers, you're actually losing points in favour of your adversary.

How should I draw my characters?
Basically, they are just minimized, but you can draw them as chibis or children too if you want.

What do you consider modified weapons?
Anything that is weapon-like, deadly, or that looks like a weapon.
Imagine you have ice powers. You can't do ice swords because that would be a mod sword.

You mentioned being trapped in a "giant" house. What's so fun about it?
Well, aside from your main weapon, you can also use what you see lying around. You're fighting and your battle-spoon isn't doing much damage... oh, look! A perfectly sharp pencil there!

By the way!
This tournament is SDL SANCTIONED, meaning that any SDL fighter who enters will gain some extra Duel Rankups!

For a SDL fighter to be considered in SDL, it can:
a) Change its weapons, obviously.
b) Change its appearance, but in a way that still holds resemblance to the original.
Example: If you turn your character into a stuffed bear, it still has to have the same clothing, or other defining features.



HOW TO ENTER

To enter, contestants will have to submit the following:
A character info sheet: a basic drawing/sketch, coloured or not, just to give us a basic idea of your character's looks and skills.
A comic based on the following: Depict your OC being abducted, shrunk and thrown into the house by our Insane Maniac.
The means of abduction can be anything you want, from finding a random object (that teleports them?) to being stalked by the Maniac. Just make it work.
One more thing: the maniac is female. Her looks (and pretty much everything else about her) is up to you, though.

There are no page, format or colouring restrictions, but do have in mind that I'll want to evaluate the following: creativity, story telling and art.

Your character is your responsability.
Meaning, if you enter an audition with an illegal character, it will be disqualified.
Please do ask me if you have any doubts about your character.
Just leave a message in the Toy Kingdom or send a note.

When you're done, note that same account with "MY AUDITION" as title.
