Iron Man starring Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

What a great super hero movie to start off the summer of the geeks. I think this is the only comic book hero movie that isn't a direct sequel or remake for this summer.

Anywho. It was very well done, I must admit I was hesitant at first. The preview was going good up until the very end where they put the title up and the mechanically odd voice said 'I am Iron Man'. Reminded me of the famous 'Noooooo' from Darth Vader in the Star Wars Episode 3... But alas, that was one of the very few flaws.

Mr. Robert Downey Jr. was very good in the part of Tony Starks. Jeff Bridges was also a very cool villian, though i think the bald head and the beard thing was a little over the top. But apparently thats' like a rule with bad guys in super hero flicks. *I think that rule needs to be broken...* Terrence Howard was awesome as usual, playing the military liasion person who is Tony Starks' friend. Then there is the lovely Gwyneth Paltrow, playing Pepper the girl / assistant in the movie, also very good.

The special effects were awesome, as you would expect these days with movies, just absolutely mind blowing. The flight with iron man and the jets, Bravo. It was awesome.

The plot and story was good, it definitly had the old cliches of super-herodom in it. But I liked it anyways, It was entertaining.

My third favorite part was when Jeff Bridge's character paralyzes Tony and takes his reactor/heart, then my second favorite is the ending with the exception of the whole morning after type thing. That bugged me a little that he was given a press conference the MORNING after that whole mess, one would think you'd need a little more time to recover?! Anyways its a little issue. And My FAVORITE part of the ENTIRE movie is at the very very end where hes having the press conference and he doesn't follow the back up story and is like 'I am Iron Man.' Thats the last line of the movie, it was great. I love the way he said it.

The Movie Rambler's Final Grade on Iron Man is a solid B+. Well done, especially for these days when everything seems to be rather substandard.
