How could a little quirky painting lying around in the street bring so much joy to someone's day? I set out to find the answer myself, and what I got was something MUCH more fulfilling.
A very important issue to consider about the swine flu. It is in readable for English and Spanish speaking deviants. Please, pass this on to others that are concerned about the swine flu.

The gist of things: the best medicine for an injured racehorse is (apparently) a bullet to the brain.
Well according to most professional racehorse trainers, that is.
(Normally, I don't like getting too involved in online animal rights drama, but I know there's a lot of horse lovers out and about on dA. This might just be common knowledge, but it was honestly news to me...)
An Al-Jazeera cameraman was released from U.S. custody at Guantanamo Bay and returned home to Sudan early Friday after six years of imprisonment that drew worldwide protests.
Sami al-Haj, who had been on a hunger strike for 16 months, grimaced as he was carried off a U.S. military plane by American personnel in Sudans capital, Khartoum. He was put on a stretcher and taken straight to a hospital.
Al-Jazeera showed footage of al-Haj being carried into the hospital, looking feeble and with his eyes closed, but smiling. Some of the men surrounding his stretcher were kissing him on the cheek.
Thank God for being free again, he told Al-Jazeera from his hospital bed. Our eyes have the right to shed tears after we have spent all those years in prison. But our joy is not going to be complete until our brothers in Guantanamo Bay are freed, he added.
The situation is very bad and getting worse day after day, he said of conditions in Guantanamo. He claimed guards prevent Muslims from practicing their religion and reading the Quran.
They need to release everyone. They have held them for YEARS without any charges or trial. Many, if not all, have been tortured. Some may even be US citizens, some are confirmed to have been.
It's about time. Now for the rest of those people. They've been keeping them locked up with no hope of ever returning to their homes. This is criminal.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
